Well done! Just an FYI. It’s not an autopsy room. They have never been done at funeral homes. It’s an embalming room I’m sure. Interesting for sure. I can not believe all those funeral records are there!!
I was about to say this. I was an undertaker for 8 years in Britain. The room is for embalming and cleaning bodies. I can say, if you can think it, I've seen it. Maggots and all
LarryUK I can’t imagine . I do have a friend who is an undertaker but he will not discuss anything since he is well known in our town. He wouldn’t ever gossip about anyone which I respect. ( small town) I lost my only child 2 yr ago and I think about it every day. Sadly i think of the coroner, the undertaker etc. I know what happens in an autopsy and it haunts me to this day. I didn’t want one done but it was a law in the state he lived in. I give much credit to anyone who worked in either of these careers. A lot of passion and strong to say the least
Jessica A lmao. It’s how they prepare a body for burial. Google it. It’s a whole process where all blood is taken out and replaced with a fluid to preserve a body
It just pisses me off when people vandalize places.....I mean come on! What the hell?! What gives them the right?! People lived and grieved at this place for years and years! I bet they wouldn’t like it if someone went over at their place and thrashed it?!?! Idiots.
When you think about it, vandalizing abandon places is actually kind of smart cause it can be used as a way to prevent yourself from getting lost. It's especially useful in places like abandoned hospitals/asylums. Not only that, but people can make some damn good art through vandalism.
Whenever I see other explorers in the video of an urban explorer, I always feel so relieved. I am always so scared watching videos when the explorer is alone (or seemingly alone). Great video. 💖
Autopsies are not done at a funeral home. This is the embalming room where bodies are cleaned and embalmed in preparation for dressing for viewing. Having worked at a funeral parlor, I've seen bodies come in twisted and contorted in riggor, with fungus beginning to grow on them and some with maggots and decomp forming. It's a messy business but thank God there are those people who make it their life's work to be respectful and compassionate to our dead loved ones and to present them in the best possible light to preserv our memories of them. Thanks to all in the funeral business
I am so glad you decided to leave when you did! I’ve never seen a teddy bear with red eyes. I’m sure there was someone there watching you. Freaky! The funeral home was absolutely gorgeous, with the chandeliers, woodwork, and the beautiful staircase! Thank you for respecting a place that people associate with sadness and endings. Great video! Stay Safe!! 😥
I use to work as a security officer at a mental health hospital. The main building was about 100 years old. It was supposedly haunted. I had some weird experiences there. Out in the nearby woods were old furnaces where years ago amputated body parts from were cremated or so I was told by a fellow officer. I remember the place was real creepy at night.
@@xxKiwiBearxx My job as a security officer was to conduct a security check of the entire hospital about every two hours or so. Also I was to assist the nurses and doctors as needed with any of the patient's. This was a mental hospital and from time to time they would need help with a patient. I would conduct security checks from the basement level to the 6th floor, which was the highest level. The 6th floor was actually a utility area on top of the main hospital roof. From the outside this part looked like a small building sitting on top of the main roof, which was flat and had a layer of gravel on it. This level had HVAC units and the mechanisms that controlled the elevators in it. To reach this level from the inside required going up some very steep steps. There was no lights in the stairwell until I got into the utility room itself and I had to find the light switch to turn on the lights. Sometimes I just used my flashlight instead of turning on the light. One night as I was conducting my security check a piece of gravel was hurled across the floor towards me. There was no one with me, so supposedly I was alone except for whatever caused that small rock to me move across the floor toward me. It was as if someone kicked the gravel in my direction. It felt as if some evil presence was there trying to frighten me. I immediately started to pray and rebuke in Jesus name whatever was there. The basement level also felt like a dungeon. Parts of the building were over 100 years old. The basement was one of those 100 year old parts. One night I also saw what appeared to be a shadow move across a dimly lit hallway when nothing was there. Some officers reported hearing voices at night behind locked doors in empty rooms. I did a lot of praying and singing hymns each time I conducted my security rounds.
Licensed funeral director here! That is not an autopsy room and the table with the teddy bear is not a gurney. It was the embalming room and the teddy bear is on a steel table. Autopsies are mostly done at a hospital or medical examiners office (some do multiple counties so they can be a bit busy.) (I haven't transferred an autopsy from a hospital and only from the medical examiner.) The garage is where the decedents are received and sometimes from depart from our care in hearses and some SUVs or vans. The casket left in the chapel is a rental casket and they are used for cremations. There is a cardboard insert that has all of the furnishings of a casket and one of the short sides does come off or flop down to pull the insert out. It is not uncommon for funeral home owners to live above the funeral home or the extended family of the owner. And alcoholism was very rampant in the industry for a very long time. Its a very emotionally and mentally taxing career.
Autopsies were done in embalming rooms many years ago. I'm fourth generation funeral director and have pics of them being done in my family owned funeral home.

Thanks for the videos! Excellent choice to leave the building when your sixth sense "suggested" it. Most certainly an embalming room as opposed to an autopsy room.
What happens? Do people just leave everything like that and just close the building up? Would love to know where people end up. Thank you for sharing ❤️
As strange as it sounds, it wasn’t unusual for the funeral home director and his family to live above the funeral home. The were on-call 24-7 especially in small towns. I love when things like newspapers or old calendars are there showing the years of when the place was probably abandoned. See stuff like how the calendar showed "August 1998" really gives the viewers the image of when these incredible places were abandoned
I am so impressed by your courage to go into these buildings. The edgy excitement mixed with calm reporting is quite interesting. Very engaging content. Thx for sharing.
I agree! Maybe some people wouldn’t want to know where it came from, but some people could get good use of those furnishings. Even another funeral home.
I would say the calendar that said 1998 in the older-looking kitchen is accurate to when the building was still in official use. The 2016 newspaper is probably left by another explorer/photographer, or a squatter.
There was so much "crackling" sounds in the background, until I reasoned it was raining outside and the sound of the rain was amplified ... creepy though.
I could see a mechanic living where his shop is, but a mortician living where dead bodies are? that's pretty freaky. Your kitchen, your bedroom, knowing there are bodies in various states of preparation under your roof. You would have to be incredibility detached from what you are doing to live like that. Another video you didn’t open the freezer. Only a second with the fridge open as well. Super disappointed as this could have been the highlight of the explore. 😕
It's not the point of these videos to open drawers, fridges, or anything else. He isn't rooting around, looking for things. He's walking around the building, showing it to you as is, as time stands still around it.
steve m it could appear incriminating to open/rummage through things. and it most likely wouldve just had long expored food in it, definitely wouldntve been the highlight of the episode.
One of my relatives in VA had an oven like that, it was my great aunts mothers. A lot of the markings for the instructions was burnt over or scrubbed off from constant use but the stove itself is awesome. Many delicious things were made from it. I'm sure since the instructions were in better condition like this one back then many of the recipes used for many holiday dinners and family reunions was in part by this stove. Cool to see one in readable condition ❤️.
Omg! This place is BEAUTIFUL! I live in the Midwest & wish I knew where this funeral home was, but then I would be such a scaredy cat to even go in. Lol
I loved when you sprayed the air freshener & then opened the fridge... it was SO funny! Also when you found the last room, yes super creepy! So I’m glad you left, also I don’t feel like it was abandoned in 2016 like the newspaper said, I feel like it was abandoned in 1998 like the calendar said upstairs... but idk🤷🏼♀️

Looked up "Pulverized Hardening Compound": " Filler and preservative powder used in secondary treatment of viscera, internal packs cavitated areas due to cysts and neoplasms and as a cavity filler after autopsy. Used as a bulk and compacted filler to reinforce preservation and restore natural body contours.."

Leaving was a good decision. That place had been abandoned long before 2016 as the date on that paper. That is further proof of dwellers living there. They were probably watching you.
There's always spirits in funeral parlor's. No thanks, I wouldn't even set foot. Maybe the cookies were for you. 😁😁 That was really creepy in a very threatening way. 😬
It's look like who ever just got up one day and left never looking. It really get me angry when ya know there people out there who just destroys places like this. No respect! Thanks for video keep up the good work.
HARDENING COMPOUND PULVERIZED Filler and preservative powder used in secondary treatment of viscera, internal packs cavitated areas due to cysts and neoplasms and as a cavity filler after autopsy. Used as a bulk and compacted filler to reinforce preservation and restore natural body contours. Interesting, did not know this!?
I felt sad in that place, people went there disrespecting someone’s property drew graffiti, vandalizing the old photos of maybe the previous owners and scattering things inside. Such a shame.😒
It's crazy to me that these people left in such a hurry. The only times I ever found food in the fridge was in houses condemned because of a fire, which makes sense as they were living there and they could not return to their home. However, in these cases, I wonder how people would just get up and leave or move out without throwing out their food.
Beautiful building..the fact that it was abandoned tells me that the area it is in is in decline. The roof is leaking bad, so full of mold and fungus. I am surprised that the owners didn't send the records to the state-that information might be needed by relatives. This shows how marginal a family funeral home is these days
When you are exploring all these abandoned places do you ever run face to face with the paranormal? Especially going through a funeral home. Too creepy for me!
I'm pretty sure that's an embalming room. When grandpa died I watched the whole procedure and similar equipments in that room. I think u need to wear mask😷 or gloves at least, might have some infectious liquids or some anthrax type of bacteria which can last 48 years or so, especially in this environment. Nice video👍🏼

There's always spirits in funeral parlor's. No thanks, I wouldn't even set foot. Maybe the cookies were for you. 😁😁 That was really creepy in a very threatening way. 😬
Those chandeliers/ light fittings are gorgeous!
Great video guys....I probably would have left too after seeing that teddy bear with the cross!
Nasty looking equipment! Caustic materials! Interesting tho! Thank you for sharing! It is as tho they just up and left!
It's look like who ever just got up one day and left never looking. It really get me angry when ya know there people out there who just destroys places like this. No respect! Thanks for video keep up the good work.
Always look forward to your uploads 🔥👌⛪
This was amazing! Love your videos.
Judging by the deco and office machinery id say 70s time frame.
👏🏼 I love seeing other explorers film the local bandos 🖤
5:28 that lighting! Wow!
That was a great explore...wish we could have seen more! I think the upstairs appt had more of a creep factor than the funeral home.
Just have to say you’re achingly good looking!
Great video as always 😎👍🏼 interesting place!
HARDENING COMPOUND PULVERIZED
Filler and preservative powder used in secondary treatment of viscera, internal packs cavitated areas due to cysts and neoplasms and as a cavity filler after autopsy. Used as a bulk and compacted filler to reinforce preservation and restore natural body contours. Interesting, did not know this!?
Absolutely correct. I've embalmed autopsy bodies for over 25 years now and that's exactly what's it's used for.
Hello. I’m from Philippines. I love your videos. Always safe wherever you where go. Godbless ❣️
I felt sad in that place, people went there disrespecting someone’s property drew graffiti, vandalizing the old photos of maybe the previous owners and scattering things inside. Such a shame.😒
Great video. Keep them coming!!
Really enjoyed this. Great job!
Dude I always love your videos.. u out so much into them 👍🇬🇧
It's crazy to me that these people left in such a hurry. The only times I ever found food in the fridge was in houses condemned because of a fire, which makes sense as they were living there and they could not return to their home. However, in these cases, I wonder how people would just get up and leave or move out without throwing out their food.
I really wanted to see what was inside that fringe or the freezer, great video tho.
WoW That place is amaizing for exploring. Greets from BO&MO EXPLORERS from the Netherlands👍🏼🇱🇺😘
Beautiful building..the fact that it was abandoned tells me that the area it is in is in decline. The roof is leaking bad, so full of mold and fungus. I am surprised that the owners didn't send the records to the state-that information might be needed by relatives. This shows how marginal a family funeral home is these days
I’m 38 and I’ve never seen an oven like that. Although that’s not really that old.
Omg that teddy! Scared the bejesus out of me!
Very cool historical place scary spooky at the same time cool thanks for sharing the video god bless you
When you are exploring all these abandoned places do you ever run face to face with the paranormal? Especially going through a funeral home. Too creepy for me!
that art needs to be rescued from water damage, that was a really really nice apartment almost as nice as a house
Fabulous camera work 💯
Great video mate.
"I'm not opening it... don't even think about it." Sprays some spray and throws it open Bwhahaha! Excellent
Very good job guys!!! Nice vídeo!!!
