You asked where a certain place was when you were sailing up the Solent from Southampton. I live near and it's Calshot Beach and Calshot Spit. Calshot Castle is at the end. Henry VIII had it built. Hope that helps. Great Blog btw.😊

Hi Kay, we were on this on August 17th this year. To be honest, out of all the cruises we've done, we had the best laughter this year .met some great people, etc .unfortunately, the only thing that was a bit of a negative was the portions of the dinners.part from that, it was a perfect holiday, I guess some things have to be cut back like most holiday cruises etc .

Can I ask why you didn't pre-purchase your drinks package, is it cheaper to buy onboard?

I've not long got back from being on Brittania. I looked at the drinks package and for our cabin it would have cost just over £1000 for the 2 weeks. I didn't get it. Which I'm glad I didn't now. We spent less than that by around £150 and we bought things other than drinks. There were 4 of us btw. 2 adults, 2 children
