Hello Gordon. I moved across the pond from Norway to Canada. Your channel is very helpful for a DIY person in a new world. You remind me a lot of my grandfather. I wish you a well winter to you and yours.
Still owner operating my columbia with 60 series detrroit tackled a bunch of repairs myself after watching your uploads gave me an excuse to buy more tools as well..hope your still trucking with your rig too..Happy Holidays to ya from the suburbs of Chicago!!
I wish they would send me some of the big ones I see on popular channels getting to review, but at the rate of my channel's decline I might not be getting even a single welding rod to review. Thanks for sticking with me Will.
Ok, it seems you have some good projects in play, and made progress with other things, so that's good. Bummer about the views and hearing that. I happen to think your videos are terrific. I quite enjoy them all. I don't know if you know, but youtube (yt) has gotten quite aggressive with their adds and so on and I guess users are quite unhappy about it. Some have gotten so fed up they are trying various things. I have not had problems like that, but apparently 'yt' has been pushing ads on users who pay to use it and the pay is so they DON'T get ads. That could explain, at least some of the decline. I happen to hope you keep making vids.
I appreciate you always leaving a comment sir. I know there is a lot more competition doing repair videos from when I started mine, many of them full time up to date professionals who can narrate much better than I can. I don't think the paid "YT" users are a problem because the ratio views per $1.00 is still about the same, just a lot less views with a lot more subscribers.
Hi Gordon love your videos you got me interesting in repairing my own gear and I find you have a lot of experience and knowledge in what you're doing tanks gordan
@@GordonRobertsonDIY I think that depends on you and how much time you want to put into this channel. To me your videos are what youtube should be. Real people helping people do useful things. You have a lot of experience and knowledge and the patience to share it with the world.
I read every comment, I don't get so many that I can't read them all like some of the real big channels. I don't always respond for a lot of reasons like I see some on my phone at work and it's hard to respond on the phone or some are later than the video posted or I don't know how to respond correctly. Thank you sir for following my channel.
No matter what the future holds, I always watched your videos when they come out, And I still go back and watch some of the old ones, And I watch them completely from start to finish Of course you're inframe overhaul video From start to finish is a big hitter... You put some good ones out over the years I tell you that, A couple of my other faves were when the transportation company brought your trailer and put it in the ditch, And the handful of videos you had Showing that little boy how to weld, And other projects. We'll be here if you keep putting them out, Take care.
That little boy just turned 19 a couple weeks ago and graduated HS this summer and is an assistant manager at a shoe store in the mall, has his own car, still lives with his mom. His mother had me over for dinner the other day.
I like how Gordon gets right to the point - I hate watching a video and having to wait for a BS theme song, Boring chit-chat, an introduction about the topic, then describing the problem, talking more about the problem, then finally, slowly starting to actually show what to do.
I love what you are doing Gordon and your "raw" old school knowledge is what I love!! I hope you keep doing it!!
Thank you sir. Good to hear.

Yep, still running my old truck almost daily. I'm glad to hear you're getting more tools and doing more of your own repairs.
You are going to need more shelf space with all of these little welders you keep getting!

@@GordonRobertsonDIY I know some of the big fabrication channels sometimes get big welders but usually its the smaller ones they hand out.
Like the others, I enjoy your style and welcome all the knowledge you share. Keep up the great work!

Are you still running the freight liner with the Detroit?
Yes, almost everyday. Thanks for watching.
I don't understand - I'm watching as much as I did before. I've slowed down on the comments, which most would say is a good thing, LOL.

I’m going to stick around. I’ll go back and watch some older videos. I prefer your style videos over those guys
