Only really takes about two minutes to clean this area. You missed the fact there is a door in the bottom of the machine that opens and needs to be cleaned out, too.
@donnanelson9181 oh my goodness, Donna! I have had this machine for, literally, 5 years and had no idea there was a little door on the bottom! 😂 thank you! That makes cleaning out the floor of that area SO much easier…how embarrassing 😂
I use a pipe cleaner to clean the lint. Bend it in half and use the loop portion to sweep through the bobbin area. It does a good job of attracting the lint, and its flexibility allows it to get to all areas. Thanks for your videos!
Make sure you drop the presser foot and drop the thread holder to it’s lowest point and set the machine on its back. Then unlatch the bottom trap and clean really well from the bottom. Nice video!
Hello, just a little information about the oiler you are using. There is a little plastic nub on the cap. When you remove the red cap to oil, simply place the cap on the plastic nub. That way, they are both in the same place. There is no red cap for the fur babies to play with, and it will save you hours of searching for the red cap! Thank you for your wonderful videos. You are doing a great job! I love watching your videos!
Hello! If you need to find any accessories for your Juki machine, I highly recommend checking out Juki Junkies: jukijunkies.com/ref/Miriam/ They have excellent customer service and pretty much anything you need for your Juki!
This really doesn’t have to do with cleaning, but just fyi: if your needle threading mechanism gets too bent (I’ve been able to straighten the wire, but sometimes it is too bent) you can order the entire mechanism. Nice to have a spare on hand.
Disposable mascara wands work really good for cleaning your machine too.
😱 what a great idea!!! I gotta try that! Thank you for the tip! 💖
Oh no! I hope you have a speedy recovery! I use the Q tip brand: amzn.to/3sWVeKM

😂😂 she is a bit of a clean freak 😂😂 thank you!!! 💖
I was taught to add a drop inside the bobbin case. I can't find my manual but if you have yours, could you double check?
I literally JUST heard of this a week ago. I’ve never done it, but they do recommend it. 👍🏻
Juki Junkies has the information. Also longer stretches between oiling.

Thread can cause a lot of lint. Cotton thread especially.

It’s a same all sewing machine don’t have these holes for easy oiling
I agree!!
There’s a door under the machine that you can clean the feed dogs & everything that falls through.
Ha! I discovered that little door shortly after making this video! It makes it so much easier to clean inside the bobbin area! 🤓
@ I watched a lot of videos before I bought my juki TL2010Q (which is 1week old)the dealer I bought from didn’t know about the door underneath.
You didn’t show how to oil the bobbin area.
That is correct! I actually just learned about that a couple of months ago! I had this machine for 6+ years and never oiled the bobbin area lol oops!
JUKI should just subtly mark the holes so that it’s easy to remember which holes to oil. I know I can mark the machine myself but just saying.
