We’re officially in love with Canada! 😍 You can book THIS VAN for yourself! And be sure to mention "The Endless Adventure" for $100 off your trip www.yamanomad.com/ 🙌
Nothing "off brand" about Honey Maid Graham Wafers. They are the standard and premium brand here in Canada. Enjoying watching your trip through my home.
Hahaha just now watching these videos and this is the first thing i wanted to comment on lol. I said "off brand??? Since when is Christie's an off brand?" out loud lol
Totally the best vehicle on the road. Love the lattes. Perfect on a cold day. Actually, perfect on any day. OMG, so cool you saw a bear and great way to finish the night with a fire and some smores. Hopefully the giant mosquitoes won't nibble on you since you left the door open on your camper van while you finished the video. You both are living your best life and really seem to enjoy the camper life. Great video!!
Love Canadian s,mores. You get inventive with them. We use chocolate covered digestive cookies and add caramel chocolate bar squares. We sometimes use caramel center digestive cookies and aero chocolate bars. As Canadians we take it to next level.
Your video brings back memories... I did that exact drive 22 years ago in 1997 on vacation The only time I’ve been to Canada - one of the best holidays of my life... Scenery was incredible. Lake Louise, Maligne Canyon... Saw elk, black bears, all sorts... And then we drove over to Vancouver & Vancouver Island - and that was wonderful too...
I'm pretty picky about what I watch on TH-cam, usually skewing toward travel/food videos from Southeast Asia, but you guys got me subscribed, wherever you are. Just loving the interplay between your character/perspective. You guys totally rock with those slow-mo shots. It almost seems like your signature videography touch. Why don't you guys do a tutorial on it? You do it sooooo well!
We were so lucky we were there in September and saw so many bear mothers with 2 cubs.. Walking in the road, at our campsite, fishing on a river. Also lots of Elk, they were in our campsite in Jasper, charged out in the road fighting in front of our truck (luckily missing us) and it was mating season... Just fantastic :)
As a Canadian it's so fun to watch you guys explore Canada :) Was just in Alberta in May and it was magical. Next time I'm seriously going to look into renting a camper van!
The little snowman was so cute. Always bringing us the best views!! Even though you didn’t make it all the way to the summit it was still really breathtaking!!
Jasper is known as the boomerang town as it's said that if you leave you'll always return and if you look down on Jasper from the top of the tramway you will see that the town is shaped like a boomerang!
Totally agree. We're watching it as we are packing up here in Peru heading to our next adventure. Definitely thinking about doing a camper van road trip now. Definitely loving that camper van.
Been a subscriber for about a year. This episode really popped. Just felt like I had to share what a great job I feel like you guys did of communicating the adventure. Made me recall your talking about travelling around in a liveable vehicle. Like this is pretty darn close to your maximum jam zone with Canada being a big part but not nearly all of the fun
We are from the UK and visited Jasper two years ago and went up the Sky Train. Try French Vanilla coffee from Tim Horton's, it's the best. Hope you guys are stopping at Lake Louise on the way back to Calgary, it is the most stunning place I've ever visited.
Delightful to know you are having so much fun in the national parks in Alberta! I've camped there many times, sometimes in a tent, more often in a VW Westy, and this video really brought back lots of great memories. We're heading towards Banff ourselves in a week to visit family and we are definitely planning to take a detour into Calgary to visit the Yama van people! Incidentally, the blue-green colour of the lakes you've noticed is due to the presence of rock flour in the water, which is run-off from glaciers. It's created when rocks underneath the surface of the ice are ground by the glacier's movement. Rock flour is very light, stays suspended in water for a long time, and turns it blue-green. And good for you staying in your vehicle when you encountered the black bear near the road. That guy who was outside his car and so close to the bear might be endangering himself, but he's even more likely to be endangering the bear, because when bears get habituated to people, they often become problem bears and have to be relocated and even sometimes euthanized. There's a great podcast series you can get free from iTunes, called Bear 148, about one such bear in the Canmore area -- it's quite an education to listen to this.
Katherine Maas Great info! Feeding wildlife like bears teaches them to associate humans with food so, when they approach humans, they become”problem “ bears - feeding wildlife is like signing their death warrant. They are called WILDlife for a reason - let them live wild.
Brilliant! So much Fun! Love this episode! :) You guys keep getting better and better. The mountain views are absolutely stunning. We have family in Anchorage but this Canadian tour is off the hook. The smores ending was perfect. Still smiling after watching :) Best, James and Kim
This was a great video. So much in one day! Loved the waterfall. The views up on the mountain were, Truly epic! So many pine trees. Can't wait for more!
You should rent a truck camper in Whitehorse and drive the Dempster Highway to Tuk. You eventually get 24 hours of sun in the summer. No fancy restaurants. Incredible scenery and true wilderness on a road with about 5-10 vehicles per hour when we went in 2018.
My uncle and aunt lived on Vancouver island and when my parents went over for a holiday they took them virtually all over Canada and also into America for three months in my uncles very big RV, when they got back to Vancouver island they had two bears wandering around in their back garden and eagles nesting in the trees.
I think it was Coco's that I used to go to to get my morning bagels. It was so nice to see the town of Jasper again, it's been so many years since I was there on working holiday. I looooved the Bear Claw bakery
We went to a b n b in golden last summer explored and hiked around banff them two day in jasper. Loved jasper so much. Praying covid ends and we can come rent a van to see more of Canada.
Canada looks amazing👍 Here in the Netherlands in the summer the sun sets really late as well. But now around mid july we can tell the daylight is getting a bit shorter.... I don't mind bevause I sleep much less in the summer because of the early days and late evenings. That elk meatloaf looked very yummy
Fun vlog! Yes, mosquitoes up north are freaking huge. Love the bear sighting! Smart to stay in the van. My dad used to get out and throw caramels at them to see them eat candy. Silly man. Stay in your vehicle!
I Don't know about Canada, but elsewhere, the huge mosquitos are male & do not bite! Really nice footage of snow & the local wildlife. Do NOT mess with bears!💙💚💜💖
So envious right now, I adore Canada. Jasper was fantastic, went river rafting there which was amazing. Started in Banff on my trip, went walking round a lake there, got back to the hotel to be told by the hotel that if we go out today then we should know there are bear warnings out as some have been seen in the area. Great information to have after the event, always on alert anyway just found it funny at the time.
Jasper is a total tourist town but you can have a lot of fun just bring your wallet. But it's all.about the nature and camping which is epic. Welcome to Canada!!!
If you think Jasper's a tourist town, just wait till you get to Banff. Twice the size of Jasper and very touristy. Personally I like Lake Louise but the last time I was there it was pretty touristy.
The scenic views reminded me of Alaska absolutely beautiful , I was up in Alaska many years ago , and it was just as expensive to eat up there as well . Thanks for sharing 💕
Kudos to you for trying elk. It tastes like beef meets lamb for the most part only drier. Cuz they eat grass instead of grain. I like elk if it’s ground up with some fat added to make it less dry. Bbqd elk isn’t bad either. That part of the world is beautiful. I grew up in WA state. In summer it’s crazy how late the sun sets. And joe early it rises. Thank for sharing your adventures.
I really enjoy your videos. You can see you're having such a great time. You can clearly see you're in love and just enjoying life. Keep doing what you're doing :)
When they stop for bears, we call it a bear jam lol. Jasper/Banff is very expensive because of it being a national park and Western Canada. Hope your heading east. Niagara and Toronto is awesome.
I'm so happy that you guys are enjoying your travels through Canada. I love seeing you guys in the places that I have been! And yes, the prices in Jasper and Banff are definitely on the high end. All the best in your upcoming travels.
That rock at the "False Summit " sounded like walking on beach rock. It's like a flat slate type of rock very vewy vewy slick when under water, even more so with the algae growing on it. I have landed on me bum a few times. Speaking of that Erie Keep up those "Money shots". TC HuGgZ!
Eric still has his hat!! I’m super proud right now! Ahhaha! But I loooove the hike that you guys did up the mountain🏔! The views are insane in this 😍😍 also I just got to the bit with the little chipmunk! That was a chipmunk right?! 🐿 🥰😍 I’m looking forward to more videos through more national parks 🏞🥰
So glad you enjoyed Jasper, it is one of our favourite places. We go at least once every summer sometimes more. We always eat at the Jasper Brewing company, it's the best food in town.
Watching this vlog was really fascinating to see your perspective on Jasper National park. Also gave me crazy nostalgia of when my boyfriend and I were there 3 years ago. We also did Whistles mountain but we hiked to that platform and took the sky tram down! Such an incredible hike. I would love to go back but unfortunately we live on the East coast in Newfoundland, maybe someday we will be back. 😊
In order to be honorary Canadians you must take way more wood than you need and make the fire far too big for the fire pit. Oh also you have to bring a couch with you to burn at the site before leaving as well. Its a must.
Nice to see the roadtrip you make.its memorylane for us we went in 2003 from vancouver wistler banf jasper and more to prince rupert.en then by boat to vancouver eiland and back to vancouver to go by plain back home to Holland. Didnt you go to the ice feelds.?Before the waterfals
As a Canadian, I am excited to see your Canadian adventures! Also love the fact that your cable car operator had maybe the most stereotypical Canadian accent. If you're continuing on to BC, you must go to Tofino - it's my favourite!
I loved this video. Opened my eyes anew to the things we take for granted, being local. When I am in your area I also baulk at the incredible prices you have. I feel your angst for paying upwards of $20 for a meal... but the quality is usually there. Canadian chicken is so much juicier and tastier. But the beers I love best come from California and Washington.
You guys are my favorite new couple, I'm really enjoying your VLOGS! In particular the ones you have done in Great Britain, because my wife and I will be going there in October (Celebrating our 25th Anniversary which was July 4th) Where did you guys call home before you started traveling? Love that camper van!
You guys look good! Are you finding the trip in the van refreshing? I can imagine, as you are normally running around from one adventure to the next, a driving adventure might be a nice break.
In Alaska where I’m originally from we would call mosquitos the state bird 😂 and the lump you got from a bite was like inserting a marble under your skin😳😱
So many great attractions! We loved Jasper when we did the West Coast drive. Definitely plan to return. Before you leave - must get a Cinnamon ‘bear paw’ (bun) from the Bear Paw Bakery - that’ll beat your overpriced sweet potato pot! Also kayaking on Lake Maligne. Much love from the UK 🇬🇧
We were just there just over a week ago!! Staying in Edmonton right now and traveling back through to Chase or Merit on Tuesday! Enjoy your Canadian travels! If you are ever thinking about traveling to Vancouver Island BC let me know if you need any recommendations or questions!
We’re officially in love with Canada! 😍 You can book THIS VAN for yourself! And be sure to mention "The Endless Adventure" for $100 off your trip www.yamanomad.com/ 🙌
Now you can add Saskatchewan to your list and vist the plains cree indians while your there
Nothing "off brand" about Honey Maid Graham Wafers. They are the standard and premium brand here in Canada. Enjoying watching your trip through my home.
Manufactured by Christie's, which is the Canadian branch of Nabisco. Oreos in Canada are manufactured by Christie's.
I came to say the same thing lol.. off brand.. how dare you 😛
Was just going to post the same thing! Haha
i literally scrolled down to say the same thing!!!
Hahaha just now watching these videos and this is the first thing i wanted to comment on lol. I said "off brand??? Since when is Christie's an off brand?" out loud lol
Alison, you look so comfortable driving that camper van. Nice.
Yessss! Love the music, informational beautiful people great video editing you guys did a perfect job! Enjoy Canada! 🇨🇦
Thanks for catering for all us Europeans. We dont use Fahrenheit so it's good that you can tell us in Celsius too 👍🙌
Love Canadian s,mores. You get inventive with them. We use chocolate covered digestive cookies and add caramel chocolate bar squares. We sometimes use caramel center digestive cookies and aero chocolate bars. As Canadians we take it to next level.

As a Canadian, that is a perfectly normal price for a portion like that haha especially in a tourist town like Banff.
Would 7USD be a more reasonable price ?
They were in Jasper
They are in a tourist area, so the price is double what it would be anywhere else.
I'm pretty picky about what I watch on TH-cam, usually skewing toward travel/food videos from Southeast Asia, but you guys got me subscribed, wherever you are. Agree completely. The Icefields Skyway is stunning. Love Athabaca and the grey water is crazy.

I really enjoyed going out for the day with you guys and how amazing seeing a bear. Love the camper van too.
Totally agree. We're watching it as we are packing up here in Peru heading to our next adventure. Definitely thinking about doing a camper van road trip now. Definitely loving that camper van.
The sound of the shale - your first ASMR video 😜
We were in the Jasper/Banff area a year ago. The scenery is so stunning around there!
Really spectacular scenery there, such a beautiful region. The van looks great, ideal for such a road trip. Cool that you got to see the bear.

adventures 🍻
15:36 Two yeras ago i was hikking in this area , and i saw a redhaired female little Bigfoot. This Pullover is epic 😁😍

Did you guys have an issue finding parking that camper van in town?
Beautiful place, the best video of this channel I've seen so far

Loved you guys seeing the bear, it reminded me of my childhood vacations in Tenn!! Love from Louisiana ♡
Elk meat is delicious on it own! It's one of my favourites! It's less gamey then moose or deer (depending on age), but it's yummy!
I loved this video.
