@@JoshZanders I guess…🫤but spareness could only do so much don’t you think. It’s weird cause I can’t put my finger on what’s wrong. I guess a far stretch would be like this felt more of a lyrical song than a beatbox song so when the beatbox came it kinda made it worse at times. the visuals weren’t all there for me as well. I suggest doing animation type video or maybe do more narrative production. the end we got a bit of a more technical progresssion with ballistix but that doesn’t add anything to the composition. Dunno that’s my more elaborate thinking right there son dissect that sucker if you want
@@runitback8248 I mean, I'm not one to deprecate someone else's personal taste, musical opinions are fully subjective and if you don't like it, I don't think that's wrong. Different people with widely variable preferences are important to music as a whole. In this specific case, I listen to a lot of stuff like deep house and minimal techno that are similarly sparse and focused on highlighting the sound textures and skeletal song structure. So this kinda falls into that same category for me - it felt sorta "raw" and honest - but I also recognize that not everyone enjoys the same things I do in music.
