    Tavis touched on something that our community has always missed on. We get involved with things for the purpose of not being left behind when it should be to improve our lives and to profit with a long term mentality. We fear failure more than we desire success.

    My brothers I loved this episode and I received everything. The part that really hit me was "black men voting... the cheapness", non sincere just wanting our vote and doing nothing for it or our people. I'm 50 and those are the real conversations that's going on in the neighborhoods end barber shops with black men 🙏🏿 💪🏿

    Cool to see Travis! Met him at a leadership conference when I was 23, so he was about 35 or so. BITD. Always interesting to hear what he has to say about Black folks. Truly insightful. I agree with Sway on hearing wisdom from older people. I’m grateful I grew up hearing wisdom from my Mom and Granny. We have to be careful about speaking on spiritual matters… only JESUS gets the credit for gifts, NOT the universe aligning. Also, if you are not giving God the credit, there’s only the devil left. He has power too, just not as powerful as the Lord’s!

    The black community owes Tavis Smiey an apology they were calling him all kinds of names when him and Cornell West were the only black people holding Obama accountable.

      No he owes the black community an apology. I listened to Mr Smiley every morning on Tom Joiner radio show.
      Mr Smiley became arrogant. He wanted to do all the thinking for black Americans and got irate when some black folks were not in agreement with him
      Even Mr Tom Joiner had to part ways with Mr Smiley.

    5 WHY Root Cause Analysis: The method is remarkably simple: when a problem occurs, you drill down to its root cause by asking "Why?" five times. Then, when a counter-measure becomes apparent, you follow it through to prevent the issue from recurring.

    • @jlilly7913
      @jlilly7913 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @sistahb5159 We are dealing with a duopoly. The differences between the Dems and GOP are cosmetic. The 60+ years you're talking about was preceded by Black folks voting Republican for 90+ years. The Republicans abandoned us first during the Compromise of 1876 (which resulted in the terrization and death of Black people for 40 years). Then the GOP did it again during the "Lily White Movement" of the early 1900s. And the GOP's final betrayal was during the "Southern Strategy" of the 1960s when the Dixiecrats became Republicans. The Democrats' betrayal of Black people is just as extensive. The solution is for us to organize our money and apply Georgist economic principles. It's about increasing what economists call "the velocity of money" in Black communities. I encourage you to sudy Fred Foldvary, Mason Gaffney, and Henry George along with all the Black master freedom fighters. The duopoly will not save us.
