L&S reminds me of my dad and makes me miss him so much. We used to watch it, oh how we would laugh at their shenanigans, lol. Nice to have TH-cam to relive the memories, huh?
Whatever happened to quality entertainment like this which was an offshoot from Happy Days?! It's a shame that all of this is gone. However, we can at least enjoy them over and over again thanks to technology.
Coat hook premise was well executed choreography. 30 years later, interviews with them together still had Penny Marshall making those same faces as Cindy Williams speaks as she does in character here too!
@Jackson Kim I know Laverne and Shirley had some villains in this show like macguffin from the murder on the Moose Jaw express, Ludwig from there's a spy in my beer and Bambi from fat city holiday. So why don't you create the top 10 bad guys on Laverne and Shirley and make sure macguffin is the #1 bad guy in the series
Yes. Now when I watch I think that too. But when they first aired, I was 15 years old and most the people watching were teens as well and never thought of it (yes I know many parents watched but they no doubt thought of unbuttoning the coats but didn't want to spoil it for their kids!) It was written for the teen audience, same as Happy Days!
Of course,two diffrent types of shows although both were funny but Rhoda was more dry and witty NY humor while L& S was more silly,physical slapstick type of comedy.Both shows are totally diffrent from each other.
@@umarbentley4953you are absolutely correct except for the fact that both shows are essentially about two women who absolutely adore and care about each other. Also, all of these characters are not rich. They are working-class gals.
If there was no Laverne and Shirley there possibly never would have been a Roseanne. Both shows are about people living paycheck-to-paycheck. I enjoyed Rhoda, Roseanne, & Laverne and Shirley.
