    I was like noooo you're going to injure the poor slings when you flicked them out into their new enclosures lol

      They are very hardy at this stage as they weigh nothing , it doesn't hurt them in any way 👍

    Excellent video. I love the way you have your collection set up. I'm going to acquire some Cupiennius coccineus within a few days, and watching you rehouse the C. salei is inspiring.

    What is the little round thingy on the lids? I still go back and find videos I have not seen yet. Good stuff and you can see how well you designed the new room.

    • @daveslittlebeasties
      @daveslittlebeasties  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats a sponge in the lid they are old fruit flies tubs 😂👍

  • @monkeytrident
    @monkeytrident 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    @Dave's Little Beasties Thanks for this video, I put my slings in the wrong tubs, when they should still be in the smaller tubs, btw the sponges on top of your tubs is that for giving them water ?

    • @daveslittlebeasties
      @daveslittlebeasties  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No they are old fruit flies pots but the sponge makes very easy to drop food in without taking the full lid off 👍

  • @alfiebass1796
    @alfiebass1796 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just be aware the salei can dry out in the fruit fly pots mate, just keep a close eye on them 👍🏻

    • @daveslittlebeasties

      yes I find there fine for about every 5 days and then I spray them so its working roughly once a week they do like it damp 👍

    I lost my avic because of air flow, once I learnt that I’ve grown a C.versi on from a sling, it’s about 3.5in now

    Any chance that those spiders are medically significant when it comes to their bites, if they are able to that is?

    • @daveslittlebeasties
      @daveslittlebeasties  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes they are but as slings there is very little risk 👍

    @cbr900rr6 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Why don't you glue a bit of mesh on the lids... That what I do and then you don't have that sponge on it.. Its very easy and looks good.. Nice video anyway!!!

    • @daveslittlebeasties
      @daveslittlebeasties  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the sponge with the salie as it gives me access without them running out and also allows some air through but not too much 👍

    did you crack the rehousing issues ? i have a 3cm tiger coming and i have read that people loose them in moults when rehousing in larger enclosures ? what was your solution ?

    You believe Trinidad’s have the aggressiveness & defensiveness that ppl explain. Or do you believe this is a beginner intermediate T ?

    • @daveslittlebeasties
      @daveslittlebeasties  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think they are good intermediate spiders and if handled gently are not defensive at all ?
