Filming with just my phone has been really challenging. I’ve been playing around with different audio set ups since we started filming. I’m yet to find something I’m happy with but still have a few options to explore.

Thank you mate. And yes making the lateraline, is far more simple, which is making it a lot more fun and to be honest that was the whole concept behind making big angry fish from the start 😁 I guess over time it just changed/evolved to a point that it was a “job” and it wasn’t fun anymore.

So lads, the overwhelming theme of the comments is 'welcome back' - I hope that makes you feel proud of the following you created through that earlier show we shall not mention. I'm very glad the rumours of your friendship being over aren't true, and that you've stripped things back to the point that you can actually enjoy yourselves again.
Mate, I’ll be honest and say I was shit scared of how people were going to take the lateral line after all the negative around Big Angry Fish in the last few years. I understand why there was that negative but at the same time defending our selfs in my mind was only going to make people think all the assumptions made we true (Milan and I aren’t friends ect....) when Milan and I walked away from BAF we had zero intentions of making any sort of fishing content for any reason! I personally was just so happy that I was out, it was over and I knew it was only a matter of time before we weren’t going to be getting smashed online. But, then we had people/company’s like Suzuki, Daiwa and Maritime NZ asking what were we planning on doing as they wanted marketing material. So over time the lateral line was born. I didn’t even want anything to do with the BAF face book and Instagram pages when offered them very kindly by the people that owned BAF. Milan talked me into it and I was ready to block thousands of people 😂 but the lateral line has been accepted, watched and people are enjoying it for what it is 😍 you are 100% correct in that we stripped everything back to the point where making the lateral line would be fun as that’s the whole reason Milan started BAF. Now, it’s just me, Milan and my phone 😁 (and a graphics guy if I’m honest 😬) we are having fun again! I’m super excited about the future of the lateral line and the response from people such as yourself has been totally overwhelming!!!!!!! Thank you my man you are very much appreciated by Milan and I and I desperately hope that you can enjoy watching Milan and I do what we love to do for years to come 👍 Chur Chur

It’s all private land along there so need permission of course. If your walking from the camp ground as we use to do, it’s not that far, but it’s painful at high tide as I’m guessing you already know 🤪

Hi Guys, any chance you could do a segment on the gear you guys use for popping for big GT's and Kings? You must go through a ton of different types of rods and reels etc, and know what works or doesn't and what rods are better than others.
We have been lucky enough to go through a tonne of different gear over the years and w have ended up back where we started with the Saltigas. If we are chasing big kings then it’s on saltigas. Milan has just using a PE10 saltiga rod as well. We mostly stick bait for king fish as we have found the most success on stick baits over poppers. Haven’t fished for GT’s enough to pass comment on them sorry man 😬 Hope that helps
@@TheLateralLine Thanks for your reply, the reason I asked, is that currently I am in the market for another popping rod, don't have time to make one so looking for a commercially made rod, and after looking at some I was very disappointed in them, despite the salesmen in the tackle stores telling me that the rods they offered are the best thing since sliced bread. Having built quite a few rods in my time I have an reasonable understanding of what will work and what won't. But I thought that I would ask you, as you said "you guys go through a ton of gear" so you would have a practical knowledge of which commercial ones are better than others, and I can't be the only guy who would have an interest in the same question.
So if possible could you just do a quick description of the gear used when getting your fish in those TV segments, a lot of us would appreciate it so long as it doesn't turn into one big blatant series of commercials as is done in some of other fishing programs plus your sponsors would appreciate it as well. Thanks again.
