I just did my very first parkrun today 🙂 well I walked more then run it but at least I’ve started 😀 Oh and I live in South Africa 🇿🇦 You are very inspirational
Thanks Ted! I believe a plan has recently been proposed for a restoration project, but I’m not aware of any work having started yet, or even when it might start. Fingers crossed, though 🤞
18:05 is/was my guess. Another great video! Springburn is my NENDY so will need to come at some point - only visited it on a weekday, but a lovely park to run around, and the pond makes for a decent interval loop. Is this fantasy game a private thing, or is that on the parkrunner app? Love finding ways to gamify parkruns.
Thanks David! The fantasy game is taking place in the “parkrun STATS Scotland” group on Facebook. We’re a few weeks in now, but it might be possible to still enter a team if you speak nicely to Andre the admin 😃
I’ve no idea if there will be another season, but there will definitely be another game of some description 😃 So far we’ve had “The Chase”, “Blockbusters”, “Got Got Need” and now “Fantasy parkrun”.
Hi Douglas, Great video as always as just watched it for the second time as we are thinking of doing Springburn in the near future. Looks a great course, but just after a bit of advice about parking. Could you recommend which street is best to park on? Obviously from being over the border we don’t knowing the area and the website doesn’t specify which street and it looks like there’s plenty to choose from. Any advice would be great. Thanks, Carol & Ken
Hi Ken, I hope you’re both doing well 😀 I usually park on Broomfield Road (south side of the park), around about number 132 as that’s just next to the park entrance. Enjoy Springburn, it’s a good one 😄

That’s fantastic Aimee, congratulations on your first parkrun 😄 I hope there’s many more to come 🏃♀️
Jen is rapid!
I've never done a parkrun in Scotland, but I need to get one ticked off as they look amazing
She sure is! A bit of a parkrun legend up here 😄 There’s so many great parkrun options in Scotland - I’d definitely recommend coming up for one.
nice one team. lovely day for it. do like the old building are they renovating it?

@@Scottishparkruns Thanks! Maybe I’ll join now and wait for the next season, assuming it’s not too long :).

@@Scottishparkruns Sounds like a lot of fun - I'm getting involved!
Another cracking video Douglas and you’re forgiven for not going for a PB.
Thanks Aileen! I’ll hopefully get some PBs before the game ends 😂 just a lot of races and marathon training going on right now.
