Probably one of the most romantic and beautiful Rumba's I've ever seen on Strictly! The chemistry between them is insane and Gorka's choreography is sublime, he's underrated as a choreographer!
Alexandra is amazing and she is a good fantastic dancer. She also won the x factor. here in Strctly she finished runner up.

Loved this but should have been just the female singing. Not saying a man can't sing it but would have sounded better just the woman. The man in this didn't sing it very well. So glad they won the pasodoblathon. Love these two xx

mercwindow yah, jt would only have been if by some miracle Susan performed amazingly and Alexandra completely messed up. Fortunately Alex is a way better dancer than Susan so really that was a relief.

Agree They murdered this beautiful song. I still loved the dance and I could see Alexandra's emotion facially but Debbie's tango this week was on another level

jenny barry thats just an opinion no need to take it personally.and thats their job they actually get paid to sing so if the sing badly its allowed because it means they are tired and thats understandable but not creating a bad cover of a really good song...
How did they murder this song
I quite enjoyed this, but I fear a quiet dance may get lost amongst the upbeat quicksteps, romantic waltz and remarkable Argentine Tango. Especially when there's only 7 couples now- much more exposing; it's a shame she didn't get this dance earlier on when there's safety in numbers. She's lucky Gemma got poor scores.

Didn't really like the way it was sung but I thought it was great! I actually liked her emotions!
Ouch... this just wasn't her dance was it? This poor Rumba could scupper her chances...
I had worries when I saw the dress on ITT but the whole thing was rather... limp maybe? I dunno there's no feeling here and the connection with Gorka just wasn't happening. Gutted as she was easily the BEST last week... Exposed and shown-up... Possible self sabotage by the producers...
First in the Paso Doble-thon though, well deserved although it was close between her and Joe and Katya I'd say.

Strange. This should work on paper. Alex did an exquisite cha-cha with the straight legs. Here, the music is emotive, Gorka and Alex look sexy, but they seem... disconnected... Hmm. 8.5 for deceptively easy looking but technicality difficult dance. But sorry, I don't feel it.

No SCD Observer... I'd have given it a 6 honestly... the connection was so poor and there's no feeling in many of this years rumba's - we need Mollie and AJ to do one as they probably ARE dating and could have real chemistry. Then we'll see the difference.

I liked this and I disagree about the feet. Illegal lifts will not be allowed at this stage sadly as there was one. But she dances beautiful and that's the same with the romance. But she was 4th on the leaderboard and Can't wait to see the paso group dance. She had nice everything as usual. 8 without illegal lift but for illegal lift 7

I absolutely love the song, but for me this dance wasn't Alexandra's best dance hopefully she will get through to next week as she is a really good dancer, this dance just wasn't her best.
usually brilliant but she's entitled to one not so great dance = felt a bit awkward.
This should have been a breeze for the couple because they do have great chemistry, but something was slightly off. It lacked flow and fluidity, nevertheless still high scoring. an 8.
Alexandra needs to learn subtlety. She can dance and she is used to powering through but this Rumba needed her to dial it down a bit. It was neither romantic nor sensual.

This is a dramatic track but this arrangement didn't play to the tune's strengths.It was extremely competent but our expectations of Alexandra are high,maybe unfairly so.Not a huge fan of Rumbas if I'm being honest.

Not her best dance. She didn't straight her legs and therefore her foot pressure was weak, which stopped her from moving her hips. I loved the music, I did feel the sensuality, her arms were fantastic, but technically she wasn't strong. She didn't use her feet correctly, she didn't settle into her hips, she didn't "brush" her feet which is very,very important in this dance... A 7

Dances on four beats occasionally, but not for the entire time. I still don't quite feel the emotional attachment in Alexandra's dances. Still, it's a 9.

Emotion in the faces but no hip action at all. Not her best. Hope she continues though as she is a great dancer overall.
I found the singing was so poor I focused on that and missed the feeling on first watch. A bit of an anti climax after all the weeks of up beat numbers. it didn't take my breath away like other weeks, but was still very very beautiful. Some technical issues. I DID see Alexandra's emotion. She is in that danger middle board position. I do hope people support her as she makes the show exciting
mercwindow I don't think they will and rightly so, Aston had a bad week and suffered for it so I think she will be the same,judges will save though unless she is up against Joe which won't happen.
Even still she was fourth on the leaderboard so in reality others were far worse and should be in the bottom 2 instead .
Troy Rochester agreed but its the same every week,very rare the bottom two on the leaderboard end up in the dance off.I don't think the public will vote for her.my vote went to Joe.
Chloe L yes Joe was an absolute Joy this week. I thought Gemma was much worse than Alexandra though So we are down to the popular vote rather than the vote for the dance now.

Wasn't her best dance but it was too undermarked from Craig. I would give it an 8.
Rumba is hard. Not enough proper defined rumba content, so came across as a tad bland but lovely. Singing was not great, her dress - brown, was awful and they were #2 in dance order surrounded by impactful dances. Rumba was never going to be a vote getter for them on Saturday given all those issues. They won the Pasothon, but that didn't change their leader board position, due to the points they got for the rumba. They were in that awful mid table with a bland dance. I was not surprised they were in DO, but they didn't deserve to go.
if she goes out,you might as well stop watching this show ,and the only person to blame will be gorka the choreography could have been much better for the best dancer by miles ,this series has been poor and as for shirley ,she has got to go .i thought len could be a pain at times but this woman is ten times worse.
I definitely think the singers caused Alexandra to be in the dance off. They absolutely murdered it to the point where I put the tv on mute when it came back on. I am a huge Alexandra Burke fan so I voted anyway but the impartial viewer would definitely have been put off voting for her because of this horrendous version of a beautiful Beyonce song.
in my opinion Tommy should be sacked and Lance promoted to lead singer.

No. what I'm saying is the singers are that bad that it made it almost impossible to concentrate on Alexandras dance. I couldn't wait for it to finish so that they would be quiet.

lorna The singers absolutely murdered this beautiful song, it was awful and it made it really hard for me to concentrate on their dancing. I was super excited when I found out they got this song but was very disappointed on Saturday night. I also didn't understand why they got the male singer to sing the main part when it's a ladies song. But I love Alex and Gorka and I'm sure they will come back this weekend stronger than ever! Rooting for them and hoping they make it to the final! 😌

me too Danielle, I am rooting for Alexandra and Gorka too and not only do i think they should make the final, I feel they should win the whole show. She dances like a pro and every routine she has performed has been outstanding. ok her rumba wasn't up to her usual incredible standards, but I actually put the tv on mute while she was dancing and simply couldn't concentrate on the actual dance.
I have never heard anyone sing a Beyonce song as poorly as Tommy did. he should never have been singing and the ladies who sing should have done the whole performance.
I absolutely believe that the terrible singing contributed to Alexandra being in the bottom two.
maybe she should just stick to instrumental music for her future performances.
lorna nothing would make me happier than to see these two lift the glitterball, they have been on an amazing journey, there partnership has been amazing to watch and each week I feel like they have lit up the stage with their amazing routines. They may of had one dance a little less good but that's absolutely fine, it's only noticeable because they simply have set the standard so high with their other dances. This is the first time I have ever watched strictly and it's actually because of these two beauties.They need to make the final because 3 dances from these two would be like Christmas come early 😌 and just imagine the show dance Gorka could create, wow it would just be magical. ✨
I was really surprised by how much this didn't work. They're my favourite couple on the show but this was my least favourite dance of theirs. The song being absolutely butchered didn't help at all.

+Gavin Martin Joe is a brilliant dancer and has progressed the most since the show started so he would be a deserved winner but my heart lies with Alexandra and Gorka as i still feel she is the best dancer in the competition and the most talented. she puts everything she has into her performances and all the emotion so for me she has to be this year's winner.

I think her Charleston will be absolutely incredible and should get her her first 40 of the series.

I'm somehow disappointed after her previous dances. In a way it was nice, but not much rumba alike. I suggest bringing another orchestra for latin music as well, it looks like this one can't play that music
Right! Who is that terrible singer? I’ve heard him thousands of times and he’s rubbish. Maybe that’s why Alex struggled.
