Loving the few videos I've watched so far. Recently put these in and so far I love them. PlayStation would constantly be kicked off lan cable without reason, guessing due to capacity of the previous nighthawk cap of 25..ish. Couldn't even qos it. This deco setup is amazing. PlayStation is the only thing requiring prioritization because games. App is much better than nighthawk and setting something to high priority within the app is a dream come true.
Thank you for posting a video in plain english that most non-experts can understand. One question: Do you know if we can set this up for multi-wan access for failover?
Hi, I’ve recently set up XE75 pro wireless backhaul. Can I use power line adapters and then connect my decos using a small Ethernet cable instead of using switches or having long Ethernet cables running through the house?
You can run it in access point mode. It's an option you need to configure in the deco app. I don't know if it has VLAN capabilities, probably not if I had to guess but I can't remember. Best to ask the manufacturer
You have the best videos around the deco mesh systems but I'm missing a deep dive into the app and suggested settings. I just set up a BE65 pro and have some slight issues with my tesla not connecting after the first initial connection.
Thanks! You can try the following in order and see if it fixes the issue. If it doesnt, go to the next step. Before you do anything: Restart your Tesla (holding down both steering wheel scroll buttons down until your screen goes blank) 1. Forget the network on your Tesla and reconnect to it. 2. Disable fast roaming in the advanced section of the deco app 3. Disable beam forming in the advanced section of the deco app 4. Repeat just step 1 Just an fyi, I have 2 Teslas and the Tesla gateway (I have solar and power walls) and they all connect without issue, so it should connect.
Does QOS and Speed Limiting for separate devices work as intented? Recently bought a TP Link BE6500 and enabling Speed Limiting breaks internet connectivity for said device.
If I connected the 1st one to the modem, can I just connect the 2nd and 3rd one without connecting any one of those to the 1st one? Would the speed enhanced comparing to not connecting the 2nd and 3rd one?
you can power on the second and third one and it will wirelessly connect to the main one (assuming you set it up in the app). The speeds will not be as fast on the second and third one but will still be useable
So it is not possible to just use one as an extender for my existing wifi's modem wirelessly? I really need to buy another one in order to make my existing deco wirelessly?
Would you say the BE25 is the cheapest WiFi 7 mesh system supporting 2GB? Also, I assume my speed derogation will still be contingent on my companies VPN? I do speed test from my work laptop and even tho I’m wired into 1gb I’m only getting like 200m. I am just looking to upgrade to 2GB because our iPhones are sooo laggy and I have like 20+ smart home devices connected. Working to get all out TVs wired only the main one now, but it still sometimes is lagging. Also, if my eth is cat6e I should be good up to 10gb connections, right?
Yes the be25 is the cheapest as of now to support 2Gbps. VPN slows down all connections even though it typically makes them secure Cat6A supports up to 10Gbps speeds
Debating between two of these or two Deco XE75s. I have a gig fiber connection and want to be able to utilize as much of my speed as possible. Triband vs Dual Band. I currently do not have anything wifi 7.. but would future proof my system with the B25s. The XE75s would run off 6ghz for the backhaul so that would be better going for them vs the B25s. Which would you suggest I go for my setup? $10 difference on amazon this week.
@@landpet Currently my setup is two older model orbi's with wireless backhaul. Would need to do bunch of cable running to be able to do wired backhaul. Sounds good I'll go with the XE75 then. Thank you!
Just got my Deco BE65 installed, but unstable internet. Got a main Deco that provides internet connection, but my other Deco don’t seem to want to connect via Ethernet. Do I need to put the Deco’s in AccesPoint mode?
Hello. Does one of the Deco BE25 be used to extend WiFi from a Archer GE800 with the same SSID using Ethernet? (without interferences if placed a little far from each other) Thanks in advance
If you’re getting really good speeds right now, there’s not much of a reason to change. If there is room for improvement for speeds or the wireless backhaul node (assuming you have one) is not as fast, then there’s more of a reason but for wireless backhaul, I would get something other than the BE25. Like the BE63 for up to 2.5Gbps speeds. It’s all personal preference.
As of now, I don't know if any consumer devices that support more than 10Gbps speeds. Cat8 can go up to 40Gbps but hardware is generally not available to consumers. So 10Gbps is more than enough which in that case I typically recommend cat7, you can also get cat6A.
Hey could you please suggest which one is better between these 1. BE3600(same setup in video with gigabit ports) for 200$ 2.X60 for 175$ 3.Tp link AXE4900 for 250$ In our country there is still no support for 6hz band and the maximum speed is 1 gigabit. I have a large 2 storey home with concrete walls and lot of interruptions. Range is my utmost priority I wanted to wait for the review but i have someone getting these things from US to india this week Can you please suggest
@@landpeti am looking for something around 200$ but i can stretch the budget upto 250$ (preferably 3 pack) Asus ones are quite expensive for me Can you suggest some other? I have cat6 cable installed so would be doing wired backhaul
@ landpet. I love your videos because they are very informative. It would be helpful to say when you explain how mesh routers change from one to the other while you walk around with your cell phone, it’s like when you’re on the freeway and your phones changes from tower to tower. Just one way to put it. Thanks again for all you do.

Nice! Love to hear this thing is working well with the Playstation
Best video ever, exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much!

I don't believe it supports multi-wan access

Sure you could, that would change into wired backhaul. You could speed tests on it. You could also use a MoCA adapter.
