- Ready for an explosion of silliness?! Finland has decided to bring the party to Eurovision this year. The song is upbeat, has a catchy chorus, and doesn’t take itself too seriously… in fact, it’s all a bit bonkers! But will it be everybody’s cup of tea? Probably not.

If one country in Europe has the balls (hilariously hidden 😝) to send a song like that: it has to be Finland! 🥳 it’s fantastic: funny, making fun of esc, society,…
and on themselves! it’s perfectly up to date, it’s insta, TikTok and fb - from gen a-z everybody can (could) have a fun time and be rebellious (again). Brilliant.

"this is stupid, i love it" is 100% how i feel about this song. i was in the arena and people were going nuts over it, easily the audience favourite of the night. i think we just stopped carin g what people think of our entries and sent the most entertaining stage show of the bunch.

"This is stupid, I love it" pretty much sums it up. I think this is the best thing Finland could have done, the year after the Käärijä drama. It's la lil bit of a f*ck you, it's silly and it's fun. Great choice!
Finland voted for the song that was the best in UMK. The others did not stick the landing in the stage performance and then Windows95Man burst out of his egg and showed how it was done. Most people after that pivoted to them because they were the best of the group and thats how it should be. Finland should always sent the one that was the best and again second year in a row thats what they did.
I would say Sara did also really good performance, Jesse Markin and Cyan Kicks did good performance, but they lacked the WOW effect that would have been needed.
But Windows95man did absolutely amazing performance in comparison, so ultimately I agree with you
No Rules was the best live performance by far... i was rooting for Cyan Kicks but No Rules was better. The public made the right call.
@@Aanaartu Sara was so badly out of tune in the beginning of the song. It got better in the end, but it was too late by then.
@@Aanaartu Cyan Kicks had too much going on. And it was too much like a music video not a live show. It was my favorite song but the stage performance was just meh. Jesse Markin was bit better but I think he was too far from the audience again making it bit meh for live. I did watch the show from tv but I like the performances more when they include the crowd and make it like live show. Too much camera doreography, like cyan kicks did, takes so much away from the show.
Precisely, I thought I was going to vote for Sini or Sara but they underwhelmed and this was just nutso and made me laugh so hard! 💚

As a finn I voted this one. Also suprised myself.. best live act. The denim egg is because Windows 95 man is DJ and this is his first song. He is famous about those too short shorts. The vocalist is his producer, who was not not to even attend this act.

I think it's an ode to education in Finland, and especially to the computer geeks of the 90's who were kind of looked down on before that, but who actually brought the country back to it's feet after the recession.

Love the message and also how it combines the Finnish mythology Kalevala where the world is created from the eagles’ egg,
In the stage performance the singer Henri represents the eagle (see the similarity of the movements and the clothing) and the Windows95man is born (as all humans) naked only wearing Kalevala inspired boots. The stage coordinator tries in the middle of the song give the rules to our hero but he puts the instructions flying in the air. He wants to be free and who he is despite what the others try him to be!
Love how this song divides people just like Käärijä did last year! Maybe it’s a good sign?! But anyway please enjoy and have fun with a serious message! Here again Finland shows why we are the happiest country in the world for 6 years in a row!
And no this wasn’t my favorite song in the UMK but now I think “see if I care - see me slay” and have fun!🎉🎊😀

Not from an eagle's egg, but from an aythya's egg (sotka in Finnish) :) Eagles are present in Kalevala, too, though!

Windows95Man was not my fave, I voted for Vox Populi. But can't deny No Rules was fun. Most energetic performance by far, and I'm fine with it winning. It won't do well in the actual Eurovision, but fingers crossed makes it into the Grand Final at least. Nothing wrong with not taking things too seriously.

Sara siipola had a similar performance with last year's winner loreen. Nobody wants to see a similiar performance win b2b. Windows95man was the performer of the day and the crowd agreed.
Sara was the favorite, but the public turned against her after seeing the live. She didn't deliver vocally, which was the most important thing for her song. The public chose the most fun and memorable entry instead
@@jugger3538 Yeah, I feel like if Sara had won it would've been "Finland sent their own Loreen haha" comments the whole way... It was best to avoid that and have fun instead.
@@kristel8991Maybe not quite turned against her. The gap in votes between Windows and Sara was quite small. Both got lots of votes though.
@@ynbtm at least a significant portion of voters turned on her as she was the clear favorite and her song became a hit in Finland overnight. W95 was like 4th in the odds before the live performance

Why it is so hard to understand this is parody. Can't you see similarities with previous years' shows? This was middle finger from Finnish audience to rest of europe. Hole Eurovision contest is big joke in Finland, nobody serious artist would never participate.

Another Finn here, not to the rest of Europe, to the jurys...
I have followed eurovision over 40 years. Not joke here, but also not so serious anymore. I'm happy that we are not anymore afraid to send something what we really want to feel and I think this entry is what we feel right now, after last year. Love the UMK consept and that audience have 75% voice over jurys.
This is not going to win, but so what, you don't have to always be so serious 😊
