That one villainess in another anime was trying to avoid being a villainess to prevent her doom. But in this anime, the villainess is trying to be a menace deliberately.
Have to pity the brown-hair girl a little. She's become a puppet to vent Liz's darker emotions without realizing it and it's destroying her. I'm hoping/assuming that Liz's mind control about gets outed and broken in the next episode. I'm really curious to see how all the people who have been under her thrall for the past few years will react. Will they notice the change in their thinking? Will they horrified? Forgiving? What will happen to Liz? I imagine many like this girl will have a lot of rage they want to channel at her. My prediction is that everyone will turn against her and Alicia will have to step up to help her. Seeing Liz's reaction will be fascinating too. All this time she's hand people fawning all over her and putting her on a pedestal with only Alicia and Duke giving her a hard time. What state will she be in when all that's stripped away? Assuming Alicia blocks any official repercussions, I bet most won't trust Liz again and will ostracize her. I doubt the whole thing will be too dark but it would be fascinating if it did.
They probably will be furious with her for her manipulations. But this is dependent on how deep the charms effects are. It's coming to the point where she's influencing actions through her focused emotions alone. It could get worse where if people are under her influence for too long, nothing will be able to convince them. Brown Haired girl is clearly showing signs of it. But if they're forcibly removed from Liz's influence, there's a chance they could develop symptoms akin to Addiction Withdraw. There's no telling what they'd do when that happens. As for Liz's reaction. She'll probably be very unaccepting, especially if it's coming from Alicia's and Duke's mouths. More than likely it'll lead to Alicia having to beat some sense into Liz. I don't think Liz will lose her saint title, but she'll have to suffer a bit. When things start to look bleak and she's done her reflecting that's when Alicia can extend a helping hand. But that's best case scenario. Worst Case scenario is that Liz uses her charm powers to openly attack Alicia and Duke under misguided views of justice. Where at that point she's removed from her saint position and arrested while Alicia assumes the title of saint.

It’s easy to see that she’s idealistic without substance, but when you consider that her power - apparently all her life - has been turning others into yes men… it’s kinda sad. She’s never had a real friend or been challenged except by Alicia. It’s no wonder she has the benevolent moral myopia of a child; she’s never had to do more than give a little speech about friendship because her power stole any opportunity to grow as a person.

In example in this scene she was supposed to stop the bullys lungs and when the three girls were harassing the brown haired girl from this scene, she was supposed to chase them off by throwing a knife passed them. The cutting her hair was supposed to be balanced out with more villainous behaviour, but the anime seems to have decided to make her more of the accidental siant character, to coinside with the saints accidental villainy, which they also reduced the severity of.

My least favourite change they made was the reduction of 'Uncle'/'Grandpa Will's importance. In the novel, he is not the friendly acquaintance he appears to be in the anime but someone Alicia genuinely considers family, to the point of setting herself a long-term goal to give him one of her eyes. The anime almost makes it seem as if it is something she would do for basically anyone, which it definitely is not. She just values Will enough to consider him worth the sacrifice, the reason for which is basically entirely skipped in the anime. My second least favourite was basically making the brothers interchangeable, to the point it's not even fully clear unless you are paying attention which of them by name broke out of the mind control. You also don't learn things like her brother Henry having killed two people aiming to harm her without her knowledge.

If they want that stability, they'll have to earn it.
