Okay. Maybe it was a human causing the trees suffering. In nature there's wind, lightning, insects, infection. Despite all this trees continue to grow. There's accounts of trees being toppled over by wind, and the roots of other trees and fungus attach to and feed the toppled tree. It doesn't matter if it's human or natural, be like a tree, stop giving a fuck, and keep growing.
Beautiful pre-bonsai, no wire marks, a nice beginning of ramification, nice rootball. Absolutely love it and can't wait to see it in a nice bonsai pot in the future.
Super Uber Duper Tutorial. Been working on some bonsai and some of the branch cutting. Had one that was losing leaves so i decided to cut the branches up, apparently to this video i did the right thing. This will help me a lot in future months!!
Bonsi is looking happy! However you could do with a single pronged root hook to comb out the roots closer to the trunk, they need aerating so leaving a big ball of soil around them isn't helpful. Trimming the root ball to make it more shallow for sitting in a proper shallow bonsai pot and so it can focus on gaining a nice radial root base is needed. Nice progress!

Lovely little start to the tree. I respect your choice for the root trimming, though I think that I would have explored keeping that large root rather than trimming it. Like maybe root over rock or putting a flat rock or tile underneath to splay out the roots. Looking forward to watching the tree progression.

I am making one from the seed of an apple from 0, I saw your video and I always wanted to make a bonsai but this time I decided from seed. Thanks for your video, I can't stop watching it. I have a question. What is that kind of light blue "paint" that you put on it after cutting the branches?
Cool!!! Does this work with any tree (Can I take branch from a tree in my back yard)? And what's the green thing you're painting on? Is that regular paint to stunt the growth at the ends? Or is that something special (like fertilizer?) that I would need to buy if I want to try this?
I didn’t think a branch could do that though… wouldn’t it die early on from lack of water or are you just oversaturating it to make sure it doesn’t die from the lack of water while it tries to figure out wtf is going on
Many trees around the world actually spread by detaching parts of their branches that they just grow to have them fall down and start a new sapling. Now I don’t know where in the world you live so I can’t be 100% accurate but have you ever noticed during a windy day sometimes little sprigs of tree just fall down in clumps? Those are usually are fresh saplings the trees trying to spread.
Pruning the roots is essential to keep non gmo bonsai plants from becoming root bound and dying. I've had this issue with several juniper trees I grew from seed and one I bought full grown. The poor babies didn't last more than a year after sprouting because of the root ball in the tiny pots i kept them in.
Yes is there any alternative to this blue magic? Also not able to buy in europe.. and question to anyway who uses this: can you wash it away later? Cause the blue color disturbs the natural feeling somehow
First thing, thank you for having decent music playing in the background. I can't tell you how many times I've turned off a video because of obnoxious music. Second, I'm SO going to gather up my old forks, bend the tines, and created a most-needed, tiny hand rake! Worth the price of admission! 😁
@@ciuffod3rba bonsai is healthy for the plant, if a tree is turned into a bonsai by someone who knows what they are doing its lifespan can be extended by hundreds of years.
Yes but open wounds continually makes the plant suffer but in this laat two months I inquired and I think you are right but I sonceramente prefer the paints to their natural size to climb on them
