- Szenen der IKARUS 280T Oberleitungsbusse in Sofia. Es war eine der letzten Hochburgen, welche in den Folgemonaten durch zahlreiche Neufahrzeuge verjüngt wurde. Zu sehen sind nur wenige Szenen des doch sehr großen Streckennetzes. Eine kleine Besonderheit ist aber der Straßentunnel in der Südstadt, welcher mit Haltestelle sogar vom O-Bus bedient wird.
More great footage. I've visited Sofia twice now but I've always overlooked the Trolleybuses in favour of the trams and Metro. Maybe next time I visit Sofia I'll ride some of the Trolleybuses. Good to see the tunnel two, shame trams no longer run thought it.😊

The infrastructure of Sofia as well as the public transport has improved a lot since 2013! You can visit Sofia again if you want! :)
I know, that Sofia change very well. maybe i will come also back, but i dont have so much time to visit all my destinations i want :-)
I have to admit it felt quite comfortable to sit in those seats tho... They were cushy and soft unlike in most buses and trolleybuses of now. ;)

GVM Ikarus 280T harmonika ajtóval. Mint a 100- as pálya számúak voltak itt Budapesten.
+ a GVM-ek 200-tól 206-ig. Ráncsajtóval és trilexszel.
Everytime when i see ikarus 280t they are like this but they are only on line 6,7 and rarely on some other lines.
The most of them disappeared or are renovated. But there are plenty of these for the lines 1, 6, 7 and 9 mostly.

Around 2 weeks ago they officially stopped the trolley Ikarus of riding. They changed the machine with new škoda's and they are gonna scrap them very soon.

Schade, dass die ganzen O-Bus Projekte in der ehemaligen DDR nach der Wende gescheitert sind. Weimar, Suhl, Hoyerswerda, Potsdam, Neubrandenburg, Wismar, alle weg. Nur Eberswalde hats geschafft. 😢
Das stimmt. Um Weimar war es schade...dort lief alles bereits ganz gut und das Netz deckte einen Großteil ab. Suhl war ja bereits soweit, dass die Fahrleitung hätte montiert werden können, Fahrzeuge schon vorhanden. Die Entscheidung in Hoyerswerda finde ich falsch, aber wer weiss wie der Zeitgeist damals agierte. Ich hoffe nur, dass der O-Bus als Teilsystem wieder seine Renisance finden wird, so wie es nun in Praha kommen wird. :-)
Eberswalde hat auch für den Erhalt gekämpft. Wäre es nach dem damaligen Landrat gegangen, wäre der O-Bus 2006 Geschichte gewesen. Man konnte aber auch diesen nicht abschaffen, weil noch Förderleistung vom Bund auf die Fahrleitung war. Das hat den O-Bus zusätzlich gerettet.
Aqui no Brazil somente existem sistemas de trólebus na cidade de São Paulo. Todos os outros sistemas de trólebus nas outras cidades foram adesivados para darem espaço para onibus urbanos movidos a díesel, biodiesel e gás natural. É que o custo da energia elétrica é muito alto especialmente nos horários de maior movimento e com isto a tarifa iria ficar muito alta para o passageiro. O sistema de São Paulo sobreviveu pois a prefeitura subsidia as empresas de onibus particulares que usam os trólebus e mesmo assim a quantidade de trólebus é muito menor do que a existente na década de 80. A frota atual de trólebus em São Paulo é de menos de 300 enquanto que a frota movida a diesel ou biodiesel é de 14.992 onibus.

Ikarus trolleys look like a hybrid between Karosa buses and Skoda trolleys
In 2014 they started buying Solaris Trollino trolleybuses, good modern equipment, but still the old Ikaruses are much more interesting for real enthusiasts.

Ja gut auch hier Fühlt man sicht 30, 40 Jahre zurück versetzt. Finde das irgent wie Heftig das es zum groß Teil immer noch so aussieht wie damals.
