I think Beckett irritated me more in season 2 than season 4. She was unnecessarily rude to Castle just because she had a bf. Especially when it came to working the case they were on. It's hard to feel bad for her in the finale. At least in season 4, she has the trauma of getting shot to deal with and she's focused on her mom's case, she didn't want to deal with her feelings. But, in season 2, she was just unnecessarily rude.
