Love the new lighting, but the local area near that first delivery spot was WAY too dark. Maybe a ton of extra lights on the truck and trailer would have helped some, but to me it didn't feel very realistic to have to reverse into a super-tight parking spot, surrounded by cars, in pitch black. In my last savegame I turned off random events out of frustration. In a real-life situation, there would be signs well in advance, warning that a road is closed up ahead, and there would be reasonable alternatives, not only is there never 50 to 100 km between junctions, there are no invisible wall/non-functional blind roads either. In real life there would mostly be an alternative route, less than 50 km longer than the original, but not in this game - here you'll get huge detours costing many hours... and that's if you're lucky, in many cases you'll have to call the customer and tell him, that unfortunately his goods can not be delivered - EVER - because of road works or an accident, blocking the only possible route. I think random events would be great on the few 1:1 or 1:2 maps out there, forcing the player into some advanced route planning, but on standard maps (even ProMods) it just doesn't work.
I would look at the new view settings they have to help with night driving. If you adjust them it can make it easier to see at night. I participated in the Bata and had to change a couple of them while in that. Ambient inclusion is one I would look at.

Also, the fatigue needs to go more towards the EU Drivers Hours regs, so that rather that driving until you are tired, you have to have a 45 minute break at maximum intervals of 4.5 hours, with a maximum driving time of 9 hours, raised to 10 hours in an emergency teice a wee, with 11 hours off, redused to 9 hours 3 times a week by mutual consent. If a traffic cop saw your tacho print out, you'd be in front of the Traffic Commissioner to justify keeping your HGV licence!
Great video here is what you can do so you don't get lost too easily if you go into the audio settings in the menu of ETS2 you can enable voice navigation where you set a female or male voice to tell where to go & where to come of junctions or to take a turn it's really helpful you can also make it alert you when you are speeding it will tell you to slow down & also since your truck has an integrated GPS go to the keys & buttons menu in ETS2 & find dashboard map mode & you can set a hotkey to it then you can zoom into it or turn off completely I hope this is helpful daggerwin keep up the great work & I don't mind if you say my name in your video.
It's very dark to see just anything now when dark, watching this video even on a big Eizo monitor in highest resolution. Even when you are using high beam it's bad.

I've taken to turning traffic offenses and the exhaustion simulations off, for the simple reason that I know what the rules are according to where I live, the AI is stupid and/or the local traffic laws make no sense to me, and I've always thought that the exhaustion sets in way too quickly.
Hi daggerwin what is this promods please? I have every DlC and the promods worked before 1.40 but I updated yesterday and I downloaded the 2.55 and the 2.52 and neither of them work any advice?

One of the subtle changes I noticed is turning lights on and off, there is now a quick but gradual turn on of lights rather than being instant.
