I just finished it and came searching for this song. I’ve had this unexplainable feeling since it finished. I’ve only felt like this with naruto and yuri on ice. Like is this is? It really ends here? This ending reminds of akame ga kill and alita the battle angle. Like everyone dies and they still didn’t kill the final boss. Is a second season even worth it though. Everyone’s gone.
I don't like futuristic type anime or guns.... I was attracted by the muaic..music... and fell in love with this anime. I can't help but imagine if David was still alive and held by the corp and season 2 he gets rescued or something. The ending hurts my heart. Rarely anime does this to me.... but I'm happy I watched it. But inside I'm screaming why did he have to die!!!!!😢
i think this is a good example of stories that have a start and ending. Writing stories without having to leave them open ended for an indefinite number seasons can sometimes be incredibly strong.
When this show came out, I thought, "Oh, a video game show. I'll give it a try.", but, dude, I didn't expect it to make me smile, laugh, and cry so much and what's more it got anime of the year award and it definitely deserves it. I literally thank god for this video because it really helps whenever I'm going through a hard time and I would think, "Wow, David's a outcast at school and gets bullied and what's worse is he lost his Mom.", that's something a lot of people can relate to. I always feel better knowing I'm not alone after watching this video.
owl house is maybe the one other property that did this for me. liked all of the cast instantly and its a very short show aswell, although 4 times the lenght of edgerunners
for real though, this song has trapped me in a vicious cycle, every time I hear it I feel like crying but the song is so good and I don't want to forget about the awesome memories I made, so I'm stuck in a cycle of depression that I can't escape

As someone who struggles with emotions and telling people how I truly feel, watching this anime and watching how the love grew between these two. my heart was ripped to shreds when I saw how it ended, I was like I'm happy with the ending but I was so fucking sad I cried so hard, and now I'm here for the last 5 days just playing this song on loop with no end in sight. I don't think can move on from this song and how much grip it has on me

I love the cyberpunk world because it is our reality when technology has taken over our entire lives. It just magnified the worst parts of humanity and the best at the same time. Money currently has the same effect, who are you and how will you be remembered is a direct reflection of the inner you and your soul. Not everyone has a happy ending, for most they never have a happy ending.

Gets me emotional every time, this song has given such a life to David and Lucy's relationship, I'm sad that they never ended up together at the end but very happy they met
They were together. Just had a dynamic that wasn't very showy about it. David and Lucy were committed to each other, til the end. David's dream was to see Lucy fulfill her dream, but he never realized Lucy's dream changed to being with him.

I had no idea from the first until I watched the movie myself and found that this song represents emotional elements such as sadness, sorrow, happiness, despair, and hope. Went on a date with a lovely lady.. walking through a forest and it just started dumping rain.. we ran, got drenched, never kissed, barely touched hands.. it was the most romantic thing I've ever experienced.. kind of got the feeling she felt the same way.. we appreciate eachother so much and have been through so much, it's hard to commit and potentially ruin something so fucking good and healing. But this is exactly how she makes me feel. Even 6 years later.. very few times in life will love find you before lust and it is worth cherishing and taking care of that. Anyone who makes life's colors look bright again, belongs in your life.. just try not to fuck it up. If the stars align, they'll do it when the time is right. Stay strong.. there are amazing things past the horizon and it's closer than it looks.

However, a year later, I gave it a second watch. Knowing the story already, I noticed new details, and instead of feeling the same sadness and emptiness I had the first time, I felt a sense of challenge and excitement. So, if you felt down after your first viewing, I encourage you to give it another try. You might find a new perspective.

I don't know if it could top that crazy ending. But Night City like LA is a city of dreams and nightmares. There's always another solo that wants to climb their way to the top or at least die and become another legend that flew too close to the sun.
There’s something to be said for a series having a concrete ending and letting that stand. Night City has a bunch of stories that could be told, but I don’t know that I want them, let alone a direct sequel. We just have to carry that weight.

I had no idea from the first until I watched the movie myself and found that this song represents emotional elements such as sadness, sorrow, happiness, despair, and hope. It's ironic because all the elements come together, creating chaos and a confusing feeling.
P.S.: I'm not an anime lover at all, but this is a masterpiece!

Went on a date with a lovely lady.. walking through a forest and it just started dumping rain.. we ran, got drenched, never kissed, barely touched hands.. it was the most romantic thing I've ever experienced.. kind of got the feeling she felt the same way.. we appreciate eachother so much and have been through so much, it's hard to commit and potentially ruin something so fucking good and healing. But this is exactly how she makes me feel. Even 6 years later.. very few times in life will love find you before lust and it is worth cherishing and taking care of that. Anyone who makes life's colors look bright again, belongs in your life.. just try not to fuck it up. If the stars align, they'll do it when the time is right.

When I first watched Cyberpunk:Edgerunners, I felt a deep sense of sadness and emptiness inside. It weighed on me so much that I avoided watching the animation for a while.
However, a year later, I gave it a second watch. Knowing the story already, I noticed new details, and instead of feeling the same sadness and emptiness I had the first time, I felt a sense of challenge and excitement.
So, if you felt down after your first viewing, I encourage you to give it another try. You might find a new perspective.

I don't know if it could top that crazy ending. But Night City like LA is a city of dreams and nightmares. There's always another solo that wants to climb their way to the top or at least die and become another legend that flew too close to the sun.
There’s something to be said for a series having a concrete ending and letting that stand.
Night City has a bunch of stories that could be told, but I don’t know that I want them, let alone a direct sequel. We just have to carry that weight.
Easy. David died, fullfilling the dreams of everyone. Mom, reach the top of the tower. Mentor, metal out. Lucy, ...feel. So on, so on. In night city, it doesn't matter how you lived, but how you died.
