You are absolutely right. When played correctly, it raises my hair, and transsends my spirit to the Heavens. I prefer the slow movements, where the sound of this instrument is unique and extraordinarily beautiful.
I performed this once in a church in Essex in 1963 when I was 17 or 18 with a pro orchestra. Nerve wracking but beautiful never to be forgotten experience.
Breathtakingly beautiful. The Prelude is a gem that shines a gentle light on one's innermost thoughts. Alternately wistful and sprightly, the concerto seems a perfect way to end the day. Because Corelli lived in the 17th century (pre-electric) I associate his Baroque music with candlelit rooms in the evening.
While very lovely, I’m surprised that any concerto could be less than 10 minutes long! The oboist plays sensitively and with a beautiful tone from top to bottom, really lovely!
Beautifully done. I also love this Concerto for oboe by Corelli-Barbiolli, and the Prelude, being slower, is easier for younger Oboists to play. The other parts are wonderful, too. See " Music Minus One", Hal Leonard for the Intermediate Solo book for these pieces written and comes with a CD as well.
at 4:19/20 it is an < f > but modestly once again can I say that it isn't that perfect than Katjuschas approach, since I got the < a > pretty much internalized and then I do hum the fifth and then it is quite obvious an < f >, so it is not that I can tell right away... ...I just need my three seconds of humming to get the note... ...whether I hum out loud or not... ...the concerto is though but brilliant and opens up heaven so much... ...as there retards that are still still flooding their evil minds from hell as I am writing these notes although they got busted and how impudent is that?
I am very proud to be an oboist. When played correctly, it makes the most beautiful sound in the world
Indeed!!!!!
I'm a flutist,but I ALWAYS wanted to play the oboe...now I know why!
@@pamelakeightley3472 Me too, since all I play in the flute in Baroque!!
I play the oboe but i need to practice a lot and its not always easy

Sehr schön. Innigen Dank.

I think that is exceptional, especially for someone at that young age. What was your life like after that landmark experience?
Do you still play the oboe at your age?
@@rr7firefly it persuaded me not to be a professional oboe player. Stage fright.
Beauty! listen to this every night
fantastic music

The most beautiful rendition of this that I have heard. When I download it , the sound is interrupted every few seconds. Great sissapointment.
Try recording it on your Computer Tablet off the air.

Bel suono!
This execution really doesn't convince me, neither in tempo or expression.
+Morgane KblDTnz Fa majeur.
Je ne sais pas.
