Just one quick feedback: IMO would be better to go through the tech tree + explanations before the game instead of after, since a beginner like me is not really familiar with the common meta and strategies for that civ, so it would be easier to know what to expect and understand your thought process/decision making a bit better throughout the game. Amazing berber and mid-to-late game too! I'd have loved to see the Kasbah upgrade while imping. It helps both trebuchet and Camel archer production like a lesser conscription in Castle age
Great video man! One mistake though - Camel archers dont fire slower compared to CA. they actually fire faster. without thumb ring they have lower frame delay and the same fire rate, but TR gives them +18% fire rate, compared to +11% to CA, so all in all they are faster. Thanks for the good work,
@@ahmednour1610 ya, there early eco is so smooth and so good for scouts or man at arms(Or both if your really greedy) In castle age they have great knights(they have a good booming eco) and good crossbows(Free thumb ring) In post imp they have there cav archer keshik death ball, and they're not to bad on water as well. They were hands down the best civ in the game in November 2020, though they're still really good and the perfect civ for me.
Hey Hera, does maghrabi camels stack with castle regeneration? I.e. if you have that tech and put them in a castle will they heal even faster than without the tech inside the castle?
@hera, can you explain, why you didn't go for scouts into camels. Seams like a good choice against ca espacially against tatars who have really weak pikeman.
Berbers V powerful vs tatars. 3 stable knights can quickly overrun xbow armies and really prevent early CA switches because of production bottlenecks, and then by the time you finally get your CA going he has a ball of Camel Archers. Probably 3rd hardest matchup for the Civ besides Aztecs and Mayans (eagle-pike is deadly, and Mayans can just out produce you with xbows.)
I feel like once you saw skirms you needed something to fight the skirms. You didn't go stable units presumably because you didn't have the food eco, so maybe onagers with SE was the play? Definitely needed bbc to save the castles though
Such a nice and inovative begining, though then the master piece Camel Archer win condition turned into another Hussar game. The reason is- not going Onagers and losing the Camel Archer mass to Skirms.

I'm starting at aoe2 and I have a question: what's he doing with those sheeps runn around? I always just bring them to the town center to take their meat
genitours might not be a great unit over all but they would have been clutch in that game. chase down the crossbows, beef up your camel archer ball without sacrificing mobility.
I like it reverse way more, that you say and show first what the civ is about, and then play the best strategy with it. pple learn the most with that. especially new ones.

This game reminds me of the collection cup finals game 7. In a tough spot early but a few good decisions and a castle drop swung things around
Berbers are a sick civ. Faster vils =~ 2-3% gather rate for all resources, faster forwards, AND safer vils from raids.
I would love to see a Spanish SYWTP, especially for team games
Good video as always. But I still think it made more sense to do the analysis first the game rather the other way round like here.
