John Lowe was light years ahead of loads of players in perfecting the smooth action and correlation to eye-line. In these days he was the equivalent of the top dogs these days and I can’t help a lot of people have improved because of watching John Lowe. A true master
Lowe won 3 world titles in 3 different decades,also every final between 1978 to 1991 featured either Lowe or Bristow in the final interesting fact that.
I'm an American and never even knew about professional darts until by random chance, I saw the video of John Lowe's televised 9 darter a few years ago. After watching a bunch of old BDO and more current PDC tournament finals, I think the 80s were so much better. The crowd actually shut up when the players were throwing, and the MC had a clear, powerful voice.
What a Match, quite impressive how they played soo good on that board with the darts sinking in all the way. I think they both would easily average above 100 on todays boards... They also both seem to not use long points which would maybe make things easier
If Eric wasn't in the triple he was on the wire wow Eric was so good at that time on today s boards he would have been like MVG but can't ever see. I see Eric s dartitist was just starting that's heartbreaking to see
I styled myself on the way erifc holds snd throws his darts pratieced 7 hours every day for 7 years in my room and it worked for me i eas unbeatable in my local pub
Eric would have been banned and fined today showing the Union Jack flag on his shirt and his dart flights. Oh, how times have changed…..for the very worst
