Hey Kevin, hope you’re well! I suggest using the smallest Command strip hooks and use these to cook the cables into, I’ve used this solution with loads of cable management! Hope this helps, cheers
Few other comments suggesting it as well but cable tie bases with cable ties work wonders. Just used them for some cabling on a wall and they are 3M adhesive so generally don’t budge once they are attached to the surface 😂 really easy to install and place how you want!
Sticky cable tie bases and cable ties from Screwfix or self adhesive cable clips. I would suggest the bases and cable ties personally because you can then tie the cables tight without them sagging down in between the bases which can happen with the cable clips
That’s a whole lot of Christmas sets, looking forward to seeing your finished Winter Scene, City’s looking good too, what about the command strips with the Velcro straps for your cables ? Keep up the great work 👏
The kallax is baffling to me that it works so well with the placement…when the OCD in me has to have every doorway free either open or closed lol. Great content as always Kev
I was just about to say the same thing. Command hooks will hold the cables up. Don’t be tempted with the cheap alternatives, get the 3M command hooks . . . The strips are pretty good for photos too!
Cable clips with sticky backing adapted to size u need for wiring found what clipped my cables in place on amazon small but powerful clip designed to stop cables from moving
Yes, definitely sticky backed cable clips. You can get plastic ones, metal ones, ones that need cable ties or ones that just clip onto the wires. Best option for cable management......
Buy some black cardboard, cut it to fit the gaps under the racks, then attach the board using whatever method u find easiest, this way the cables are kept out the way and easily got to when needed 😊
Kevin, have you tried using a hot glue gun, but cover your Lego to ensure you don't get any thing cheese string style glue remnants. Hope the ideas helps resolve the annoying issue you are experiencing - Best wishes to you an Anna
Off the topic of the wire solution as I think you’ve got enough suggestions for those 😂. Have you thought about getting some clear plexi cut to size and using it to protect the city from dust. You can use sticky magnetic strips to attach to the framing
I recon you should adjust the shelves so the glass cabinet can be against the wall and then you can have another 6 cube cabinet for against the banister. It looks out of place being against the banister and might look better and flow better. Only a suggestion though. 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
Hey Kev, have you considered drilling holes in your shelving to guide your cables through? If you tape the holes so they aren't sharp, you'll hide your cables and will need less tape / command strips too.
@@gogobware1601 @blockpartyuk Yes, just through the black metal cross supports. Similar to running electrical cable through a floor joist. I keep suggesting drilling holes or borrowing table saws for your projects. Sorry! 😂
@@blockpartyuk I find it to be so durable and can adhere to surfaces very well. I have a lot of issues with duct tape against certain surfaces not adhering very well and often resulting with your issue.
I got unsubsribed from this channel some reason. I just checked it out as i aint seen nothing come up for a while, not realising ive missed the last 5 videos you did. Strange one

You could place the Ecto-1 at the beginning of the pirate area and make it look its chasing a ghost through time.
Use the sticky back cable tie mounts, ive used them to mount my cable for my lights under my kitchen cupboards

You can buy sticky cable tie bases that could be stuck to the metal
Use Staples
Have you tried the command christmas light holders, they are meant for external use in brick work so should stick well.
What is the shelving rack you’re using?
What able some cable pins?
Have you tried velcro straps
Have u tried painters tape?
Kev you have to take out that bottom shelf down. Your idea makes sense.
The kallax is baffling to me that it works so well with the placement…when the OCD in me has to have every doorway free either open or closed lol. Great content as always Kev
Yeah, it’s a perfect fit!
black cable tie mounts, you can screw them in and attach the wires with cable ties
Can you drill through the support bars and feed the wires through?
Adhesive cable tie mounts? Amazon
3M Command Strips will do the trick.
You can get ones with little hooks aswell that will hold the cables :)

kink the middle support self bars and run the cables be hind them.
Go to home bargains, you can get little clips that wires and slide straight into, they’re really good and only about £2
Or just move the bottom shelf above the top one then the display will fit under.
Where did you get the glass display case? Looking for something to display the avengers tower, x-mansion and batman tumbler but finding it hard
Have tryed the magnets strips
Yeah, they didn’t hold
Buy some black cardboard, cut it to fit the gaps under the racks, then attach the board using whatever method u find easiest, this way the cables are kept out the way and easily got to when needed 😊
Don’t tape to the wood. It’s a fibreboard so it won’t stick. Tape it only to the metal and you should be fine. £0 spent too
Try magnets onto the metal
Tried that already, it didn’t hold
Why not the bottom shelf to the top and then shuffle everything up a row
But why?

Try 3M command strips they will do the trick
I use velcro strips for my lights. Works a charm
I have some of those, will give it a try
would bluetack keep the cables up?
Possibly. Worth a try
Try saying ‘Spare Display Case’ multiple times quickly… Looking good Kev!
magnets

Maybe magnetic cable ties could work
Electrical tape rather than duct tape??
Command hooks maybe
I second this

But then the cables will be visible from the shelf above

Get some Gorilla tape, wont budge then xD
Is it that much better than Duck Tape?
