Foodka team I would urge you to come down to Kalyani to have Biriyani from "Tapri the house of taste" and Momo from "Momo Fiesta" please it is a humble request from my side. Both the shops are new and belong to my friends, if you will come then it will help them promoting their shops.

1. Khub choto bela theke dada boudi te biryani khai, jokhn oder 52rs/plate (mutton biryani). Aj obdi jotobar kheyechi, oshadharon legeche. Ekhn D Bapi o besh bhalo. But personally, amar Dada boudir mutton biryani & D Bapi r chicken biryani besi pochondo.
2. Barrackpore chiriyamore er kachei Anil Saha r egg roll er dokan....it's a really old shop.... sob dhoroner roll, egg, chicken,paneer, mutton, etc pawa jai.....amar khub bhalo lage.

@@SoumyaChowdhury24081995 Ubique Hotel cum Restaurant is a casual dining place. This is perhaps one of the oldest restaurant in town and was a great hit with the old timers. You can have a glance at their menu on Zomato.
Barrackpore is steeped in history. The 1857 sepoy mutiny/Indian war of Independence or the old Calcutta Rd. through which Siraj ud daulla is thought to have marched to fight the British or Jaffarpur 'more' where supposedly his army camped are some such tit bits. Gandhi ghat, Governors House or even the Barrackpore Railway station are some iconic structures. The original Barrackpore station was the only fully covered station after Sealdah Station then. Railway lines were laid for the British gentry to take them directly to the stadium in the cantonment area for weekend gateways to the 'countryside'. Rani rashmoni ghat, the shiv temples currently under ASI are other such points of interest in the area.
On the other side of the Ganges at that time were the European settlements making this place interesting.
The state government I believe is renovating a museum inside the 'latbagan' the erstwhile. Governor's place, now the HQ of Police training camp, for the public.
Some of these points can be highlighted in the future food/eatery videos of Barrackpore. I think it would enrich the content more and perhaps be of more general interest.
Perhaps, this could be a model (include local historical/anecdotal content) for any of the 'zilla' food shoots that you all do.
Finally, you people are doing a great job, keep it up.

Oops! One is just spoilt for choice; as it's just next to impossible to get the best of both worlds when the oracle demands a solo preference at the end of Zilla Foodka: Barrackpore Special; Episode II; Part II. If it was much of a cakewalk to exercise the act earlier, now it turns more of a daunting (?) proposition altogether with just a single quippy question being asked to answer.
Jokes apart !
Now here, the new entrant, being the doyen of sorts in its category of dishing out a humongous piece of meat, 'D Bapi Biriyani' makes its presence felt in the culinary map of this township noted for its barracks of the army.
But unbelievably, what rather unfolds before us is a slew of food-kiosks running parallel to somewhere around the station that in no less measure is similiar to those of stalls feeding famished office-staff during lunch-break in the central business district of Calcutta.
However, Mir's euphemisms, this time around, give way to spoonerism with the innocuous 'salad' coming into the thick of things and that perhaps catches up to Swastika's flaunting earrings with the literal spoons going well with the deal-for-dining where her focus has observingly been more on the dish than on drollery. And her dwelling on 'Dolly' didn't dampen the discourse on dining at this D-B's den either. Lahiri also didn't stop short of putting forth the decoy with a surrogate hint while letting us give a glance at the Mutton Liver Curry - so as to say.
But finally, at a café called Pancham Er Adday, back in the city at Gariahat - or for that matter, the legend's cutout on the wall - will surely stoke the spirit of any Biriyani lover - worth his or her salt, of course - to belt out: ".....tere bina zindagi bhi lekin zindagi toh nahi....."
