Bangkok- DIY Daytrip to Koh Kret Island | Things to do in Bangkok

- This is one of the best daytrips to take when you're staying in Bangkok. In this video we'll take a boat trip along the Chao Phraya River where we'll see Bangkok's beautiful skyline. The boat will take us to Nontaburi which is the neighboring province to Bangkok. Along the way we'll pass the Millennium Hilton, Icon Siam Shopping Mall as well as Wat Arun. The boat trip takes about 45 mins and until we arrive at Koh Kret island which is a man made island in the Chao Phraya River.
This island has a great market with nice bars and restaurants. We spent about an hour there and had lunch. After that we rented bicycles and rode around the island. The roads are really good, there's no cars and you can experience the peaceful local life on Koh Kret. After the we visit one of my favourite bars in Thailand. This bar is called Chit Beer and it brews it's own craft beer on site. The prices are really good and the view of the Chao Phraya River is fantastic.

hey mate, this isn't the green lung. This is Koh Kret which is north of Bangkok. The green lung is a great place too though

The Thai boatman was funny. Never have been to Koh Kret just another place in the Bangkok area I have missed over the years.
The commercials are enough to drive anyone away, one reason I will never allow my channel to be monetized but dodgy YT has added a few at the beginning of my travel episodes. Also, I never have to worry about copyright.

Never have been a fan of the Bangkok Thais or most that hang in the tourist hangouts in Thailand. Nothing like the Thais elsewhere huge difference in personality and honest friendliness.
Hehe the boatman was a character. Unfortunately if you don’t monetize and put ads on the channel then YT will do it anyway and keep the money. My wife’s name is Nune (pronounced noon) and yes you’re right the Thais outside BKK are a lot friendlier than those in the big city
