Thanks for watching. Cheers
I do believe Rubber Soul May have been best album
Indeed... My favorite Album Too
Nah.....
Yesssss
Without question
The Lennon songs on Rubber Soul are incredible: In My Life, Girl, Norwegian Wood, Nowhere Man etc
Nobody plays the ending "solo" part on any of the videos here on youtube. This is so cool! Thank you so much.
may i suggest playing the song through before starting the lessons helps in syncing to what your doing. love this lesson very good
Joe, please read the text at the start of the video. Cheers
Andy
Wow ... what a perfect lesson for such an incredible ( aren’t they amazing ) Beatles song. They added things to their songs that each time make it ..... magically delicious 🎶
I bought this album when it first came out (I know, you've already had several corrections on the date) and I used to listen to it with my girlfriend as we smooched in her parents' basement. GOOD TIMES!
I learn more from your lessons than anyone's.
I started playing at the local roller rink in my first band when I was 15 in 1965.
True story - and not just a dig at your mistake, lol.
I used to play it like that, then realized that with the capo on the *third* fret, it's far easier to play. Start with the Am shape and then, essentially, the song is in the key of C. Try it. If you're playing with another guitarist, have him or her play it with capo on 8.
sounds good. just lower...
Thank you, such a great lesson. Between you and Mike Pachelle I'll know how to play all of the Beatle tunes.
Thanks for the tutorial.I've been trying to figure out this beautiful song by John Lennon for a long time. Much appreciated.
The chord progression is so satisfying
Great album that Rubber Soul... thanks for this very cool video...
This just GREAT lesson! So much good stuff to work on. Thanks much!
My go to master! Top notch teacher!
as always..a great instruction!
my guitar playing has zoomed ahead thanks to your videos.
a big thanks for making it easier!
I am so grateful that you are doing this-AND-doing this 100%! Thank you!
I would so love to do this, but I just do not have the time. You are absolutely correct! Congrats!!! THank you so much for getting EVERYTHING correctly! Bravo!
Another brilliant tutorial. These Beatles songs keep me tuned into your channel. Thank you
Best Guitar lessons of GREAT music on the net !
i love how you love Beatles :)
Wow, great lesson. This must be where John Mayer got the idea for 3x5 which also has the capo on the 8th fret. 3x5 would make for a great lesson. Thanks again.
That should be like the original. I found myself doing that song with a capo on the third fret, I think it's the most easy/simple for beginners.
I was confused for a bit when you said *rubber soul* was released in *1963.* Thanks for clearing it up, though.
Love this song. I use a mandolin on the parts that were recorded with a 12 string and should have been with a mandolin.
Thank you. You're the best best. Truly.
I can't stand playing a B7 chord with a capo on, there's no worse chord to play with a capo on than a B7, especially when the capo is on the higher frets.
Totally agree. my hand wraps around the capo!
I agree Mr Vicious.I have to skinny-tise my hands
Capo on the 3rd fret and play it in Am, same key easier chords.
Soooo true
Yeah? Try the "B minor" Chord with a 12 fret acoustic like I play! Lol, impossible.
Thank you Andy. This is great!
Great lesson! Just pencilled in the (many) corrections to my copy of The Beatles Complete Scores based on your tutorial. Thanks!!
Another Great song Andy. Sounds Great.
This song is so beautiful, it brings tears to my eyes . Now I can play it ! Thank you .
Zorba the Greek! Love it lol. Thanks for great lesson!
Anyone else hearing Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and an oasis track? Noel does owe a monstrous debt to the Beatles.
Noel did say once that he believes he is the reincarnation of John Lennon
It's easier to play with the capo on the third fret, which will shift the key back several steps, but the following progression in the key Am with capo on the third fret: Am; E7; Dm; C; E & C ; Em/F# ; Dm ; G7 for the chorus. It will be pitched lower but still sound good!
1965 not 1963 great tutorial
I actually corrected this in the first pinned comment 4 years ago...
3 minutes of genius . Like all Beatles stuff the brilliance is under a veneerof simplicity . Try writing a simple 3 minute song : seems easy ? You'll really appreciate what they accomplished after you've spent 6 weeks locked in aroom with end result : zilch !Great lesson by the way !
Bravo! Excellent job! You are a very good teach-your pacing is terrific-AND-you are very well prepared without "ums" and "ahs."
is it even possible to play the b7???? I can't fit my pinky on the lower e string
Excellent tutorial. I appreciate it.
Muchísimas gracias por compartir esto. Saludos, desde Buenos Aires.
I'm tearing up! This is so nice!
on the album, I think it's played in A minor, then for the bridge, I think it changes to Bb over to an Em chord, then Gm for the last verse... I could be wrong
Great stuff as always Andy, thanks!
What a great song. Thank you.
Great lesson, thanks!
You can get a tutorial of "Hey Diddle" by Paul McCartney please :)
Thanks for another great lesson :)
The best lessons out there 👍
I was wondering if you have ever thought of producing a "music theory for guitar" video series that you could sell to your viewers? Or perhaps you already have done it?
très belle video
Exelente ...y muy bien explicado gracias maestro!
Thank you for sharing.
Great lesson and insight!
Great, great lesson! Thanks so much! One of my favorite Beatles songs.
johns best album
good job
You make it all seem so simple. Now I need to try myself. I may be back. Thanks.
you have to play from begin to the end the song
Read the text at the start of the video...
Great video but please add tabs to your videos for the beginners man! I didn't know b7 em7 and it would make it much more easier if i could see the tabs instead of googling stuff. Huge beatles fan, cheers!
It always cracks me up when beginners demand that you dumb it down for the rest of us...Maybe they should take the time to catch up to the rest of us before they join in. I love his video's -- they're awesome!
Play Guitar Or I'll Be Dead! I've been playing for a year now and I could play this one too, without struggling. I just didn't remember the b7 or d7 and why not simply show tabs for once at the beginning when he's playing the chords for the first time. Thanks for the constructive comment man
Berk Bolat Berk, considering that the guy took the time to learn the song himself, film the lesson, edit the lesson, and then post the lesson on line, it shouldn't be too much for you to look up the chords yourself instead of having him spend another 45 minutes of his time posting tabs for you too. If you tried looking up the chords yourself you might find 5 different ways to play the same chord and that "discovery" will open up your brain to a whole new world of guitar playing. Learning a song from a video is easy, understanding music takes a little more work....
Berk, it has become a legal problem to post tabs and lyrics as you are stepping on the artist but most of all the sheet music industry. When you publish(post online) any element of a song that someone else wrote you are re-using their intellectual property unless you have their permission.Lance had a great point if you look up those cords you will probably figure out another song just by playing the different formations. hope that helps
How the hell is it easier to use tabs? Isn't it easier to learn chords? If you have been playing for a year and don't know a B7 or em7 chord, give it away. think of others in your family that have to listen to you play.
Think it's best to have a sample at the beginning of the video before breaking it down to specifics
Read the text at the start of the video...
GIRL- BEATLES
Thanks man
Gut Klang danke...

Nice job !

🎵 I said it was released in 1963 in the video but it was 1965...For more information on this lesson and the TAB: www.shutupandplay.ca/girl--acoustic.html
^ ...and I'm sure you got flooded with complaints ::>_
Aw you wasted my opportunity to be a smart arse.
A minor detail.....your tut’s are awesome!
@@arnesaknussemm2427 mine, as well. lol
@@ShutupAndPlayGuitarTutorials lol
This is the reason why the Beatles are the best band of all time, they have songs that are masterpieces, like this one, that act as pure album filler.
The lyrics are deep but if you look closer or deeper you will see the funny or good meaning
Θαύμα! Ευχαριστώ πολύ!!
What are these thumps down??? Are you simply not able to follow the lesson!!!
Did you say 1963???
Haha, yeah I did...that's a mistake! 1965!
Another great lesson Thanks
Beatle trigger
The verry best THANKS!
I love you man :)
What goes on was on the b side to nowhere man?
Its better if you sing so that we can copy it.
How do you get your Taylor to sound like it does in some of your other videos? I can't get mine to sound anywhere close to that.
I think he use different types of strings than yours
i dont know why but that G chord doesnt sound ok to me
MAIS C EST BIEN
65 actually
El tono es Cm
Is it capo'd for easier chords or is it meant to be played this way?
25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago would be great
did he really say 1963's rubber soul?
this song makes me so angry; I love it so much hhhhhhh
TU PARLE BEAUCOUP
ok
Rubber soul wasn't 1963
I addressed that in my pinned comment, 6 years ago.
Flucking
Man, you just would NOT shut up and play.
много пустой болтовни. Сыграл бы просто, да и всё.
The Beatles didn’t write their own music.
