From what I remember, the bracket was changed from 16 teams to 32? Anyways, after we played against sD, our next match was against competitive Gears players.
Ultimately, games like this show the reality you won't see at an event (Hype) or in ranked. Listen to some of the in-game dialogue. Their team - "I've never had to try so hard in a King of the Hill match". Why? You haven't faced sTp before...

Man this game was ahead of it’s time. Me and the bois used to fuck shit up. I was trash and got carried most days, but I pulled my weight! Good gameplay.

You guys might be forgetting that it was a "Tournament" gameplay. The rules were Lancer/Gnasher...
I had my volume all the way up and when your teammate screamed GOD DAMNIT it scared me half to death

Besides Gears 1, this was my favorite Gears game.
I'm a cod fan, and just decided to watch this randomly. I have no clue what's happening.
Good gameplay, glad to see guys who are better at the game not depending on Gnashers so friggin much unlike most people online.
I find that my skills with a primary ALWAYS out matcg everyone I play with because they've become so dependant on their Gnashers.
Even on long sight maps!
Gears definitely takes quick thinking, out thinking enemies, good "button flow" and flawless timing.
Which is why I think a lot of people are terrified by the multiplayer aspect and never give it an honest try.
But thankfully the series has a very dedicated fan base.
Hell I just played a bunch of matches on Gears 1 with barely any waiting time.

I completely agree. I've been playing QM for the past few days, and every time I use the lancer, I hear "why were you using the lancer so much?" Probably because I have 60k gnasher kills...lol. Great post. Feel free to check out some of my other content.
I totally agree with you, there are always people online who call you out if you're not using the gnasher and get mad if you kill them with another weapon.
Gnasher became the weapon that virtually everyone uses because of the invention of wallbouncing, and most players who claim to be "good" adopted this method. But retro lancer is way OP and takes no skill to use. Although the lancer and hammerburst are balanced. Even the sawed off is balanced but anoying haha
Love some of the gnasher duels in this. I like wallbouncing in gears 5, but this looks more fun imo.

Thanks Inferno. 2 key plays - 6:08-6:23 he's running INTO my lancer and it's hitting him in the head. He had no business surviving that. Also, watch from 8:59-9:02 look at how quickly he drops me!!
Yes it was. There were plays that I could have made with the gnasher but despite that, I felt our cross game was solid.

Ya know I just posted a topic on the Gears 3 forums regarding a title update now that M$ isn't charging a fee anymore. I suggested that there should be a Digger instead of Boom on this map. Looks like it actually plays very well.
