Despite the innovative harmonies and dense counterpoint, one can detect that the composer still has a very romantic sense of melody at this stage.

THis transcription is easier to follow than the oruiiginal, which is very dense. of course ,we loose the variety of tones. But the legibility is increased. Considering that polyphony is the main feature of the symphony, this is an important point.
