Hey! I was looking into the analytics of my videos and figured that a link from someone (which turned out to be you) is the biggest source to my channel, very specifically this video. I have never known about it until now! lol And wow you have gotten over 1M views!! I guess I should thank you, and I do not blame you for editing my original video and uploading on your channel as you do not monetize the video nor discourage my content/channel. The funny thing is I thought this was my original upload at the first glance and wondered to myself “why would I title it “unintentional” myself if it’s really unintentional…” haha
I’m happy that you were able to see how popular this video became! I’ve watched multiple videos from your channel and had wondered how you were doing. Glad you are well. How strange is it to know that a random person (myself) from Pennsylvania watches this video multiple times a month in order to relax or go to sleep? Lol 😂
I really enjoyed this video haha, I’m a huge fan of Japan and am even considering moving there one day. But I’m very scared to start learning the language as it seems very hard to learn
What I like the most about this channel is that I not only get to experience unintentional ASMR (which, for me, is the best type of ASMR) but I also always learn something new from the videos.
Duda Binder I am on a similar experience. The information in the videos are unrelated most of the time but my mind as a whole is enriched with more perspective

I'm now wondering if I really know Japanese after all, but I've also watched enough Japanese TV to know this is pretty standard stuff.
That computer or whatever machine is making the clicks and white noise just makes feel so nostalgic and calm, the talking and pages is just icing on top to me.
This is great asmr, couldn't even hold my phone half way through it. One of my best best asmr feelings is when my hands stop working properly lol, basically I cant grip or hold things. Feels great.

The rice maker at 14:02 was 34,800 yen. One USD was 79.11 yen at the time of this video (according to the newspaper he read). This means the rice maker was about $439.89. Seems like a lot to me.
I enjoyed these videos, especially since the newspaper itself seems so different than what we know, and the amount of crazy products the Japanese have.. I also liked his voice, the Page Turning sounds and how much time he takes for showing everything (for whatever reason). Anyways, thanks for the user who recommended the first video!
I kept thinking some of the electronics in the ads seemed so out-dated (like digital cameras), and then I realized this was posted in 2011! The camera quality made me think it was more recent (although you can definitely hear the clicking of whatever device he’s using).
Jesus, newspapers are so old now. It used to be that I had to get the newspaper every few days to pull out the tv schedule just to know what shows were gonna be on when I was at home. I even had to memorize certain channels like 99 was nickelodeon for so long while something like 45 or 42 was Disney Channel and 89 was animal planet. Now I can just press the guide button and see what shows are where and at what times - even the shows on right now. Of course I watch less cable TV now that netflix and hulu and all these online services are available. But still, talk about the good ol' days.
I kinda love my family doesn't had so much money because they used so many old thing so even being born in 2002 I get to see an old tv, a Betamax, some vinyl 80's & 90's music, etc.. Even in games I used to play snes and gba, so feels great to know old generations but actual as well
This reminds me so much of my Grandma. She's from Tokyo. She would mutter with her Japanese accent while angrily flipping through the newspaper. Her house always smelled like cooked rice and cigarettes. She's a chain smoking 95 year old
I love his careful explanations, the paper noises... the camera noises. And the background is naturally muffled and peaceful... Unintentional ASMR is the best ASMR.
Amazing that in a highly-developed, post-industrial country like Japan, newspapers are still morning/evening edition and substantial. American newspapers haven't looked that robust in 20 years. I'll be the average Japanese person is far better informed than the average American as well.
Japan has a very robust print culture. Bookshops are everywhere as well. Americans pretty notoriously don’t read for pleasure on the whole.
I am now genuinely curious on why native East Asians tend to end an unfinished sentence with "yeah" when speaking English. As a Chinese myself I've witnessed countless situations where my fellow Chinese people do the described thing, and now I hear a lot of the same thing from the original uploader. Probably because we usually imply a lot in our daily conversations in our own languages, and we keep that tradition when speaking English, yet being silent for a while in English feels awkward, so we tend to fill it in with "yeah"s?
