Portuguese painter Paula Rego, became part of the London Group in 1965, was shortlisted for the Turner Prize in 1989 and became the first Associate Artist of the National Gallery in London in 1990. Her work is strongly influenced by folk and fairy tales, especially those of her homeland.
Brilliant , my husband at the Slade too , she visited us with Derek Southal for the day . She helped my son with his thesis on her work , he was a Ceramicist and transfered well . Extraordinarily beautiful in her youth.
So sad she's gone.I've loved her work for decades.
Awesome images , genius.
I like paula
I own a painting that used to belong to ‘Mr Bradshaw’.
well I did!!!
Those bourgeoisie can afford condoms. Period
Both Paula Rego and Victor Willing were total narcissists. (Rego lied in this interview series, Willing had been married to Hazel Whittington for years and he was living with his wife in Bayswater when he started hooking up with Rego at various parties.) Both Rego and Willing had affairs during their marriage and ignored their children (the 3 who weren't aborted) to pursue their "art".
mediocre at best.

Yours? Yea I agree.
is that your comeback? FAIL lol
