I currently have 3 DAC’S S.M.S.L M-400, Denefrips Pontus 2 and a Musical fidelity Tube DAC, What I have personally found is that the accompanying electronics Speakers, Amps , cables etc impact the overall sound of the DAC. Believe it or not I find myself coming back to the Musical Fidelity tube DAC time after time. The tubes give a overall expanded presentation and still provide very good detail and while not as detailed as the Denefrips and S.M.S.L the Musical Fidelity sound stage is more pleasing and the built in pre-amp is great! But as I have stated earlier a lot has to do with your system If you have a bright system the Denefrips ( it’s a warmer DAC) would be a great choice if you have a warmer system with larger speakers and drivers the Musical Fidelity or the S.M.S L would be a great choice.
Yup, system dependent for sure. Had the 400 and denefripps and it was actually the opposite with floor standers. The 400 had great grip to control the bottom end, and way sweeter, crisper mids and highs. The denefripps couldn't touch it in my rig.
A professional or a musician can feel and understand a lot of details. As an amateur, I am interested in two things about DACs and other audio components: if voices and music sound natural, that is, if you recognize the sound you would have heard in reality. Not mathematically, not with formulas, but with the ear of an amateur. I was surprised by how distorted the human voice could be by certain speakers, DACs, or even by some software drivers. It's true, there are certain genres of music where such "details" don't matter :))

Well, it still is. I just don't use it in comparisons because that's not a factory state of that DAC and Sparkos don't fully fit without a bit of tinkering with feet.

No it's not. I don't have Z8 with me anymore but I remember it sounding pretty much the same as DMP-A6. It's more about do you need streaming option or headphone output.
Regarding the headphone output, do you think it is possible to drive an HD600 correctly? and how would you compare it to the aune s9c from the point of view of quality and sound signature?
I think they are very similar as DACs (line outputs) but S9C has better amp. More power, more punch and dynamics. Can't say in more details because I can't do a head to head comparison.
One last piece of information, if I were to purchase the eversolo for 300 ohm headphones would it be sufficient as an amp in your experience or has it been too long to remember?

Hello! I own a Yamaha np - s303 streamer. Should I just replace it with an Eversolo dmp-a6 or should I buy an Eversolo dac Z8 and use a Yamaha np s303 streamer as a digital transporter? Thank you for answer.
I never heard that Yamaha streamer, but my advice would anyway be to go with DMP-A6. It's such a good streamer compared to anything else I've ever heard up to that price that I don't think it's realistic to expect older and cheaper s303 to be as good. So I would make an educated guess here that DMP-A6 would sound better on its own than S303 + Z8 combination.
Once I purchased all the audio I needed in my recent upgrade I simply stopped tuning in to You Tube Audio Channels. I enjoyed watching your review. You have an honest verbal continence. Very nice review.

Short answer would be - no it doesn't. Slightly longer one is that DSP can manipulate frequency response but it cannot do anything about many other aspects. For example it cannot speed up the bassline that's sluggish or remove harshness and grain from the tone if DAC sounds like that, etc.
Similar in overall quality but have different tonality. Tradutto is bassy and a bit darker up top. Z8 has less bass and more highs, makes for a very clean and a bit lean sound.
It's not that I am ignoring iFi, I did 5 reviews on their products, of witch I bought two myself. But they're not really eager to send me review samples and I don't like paying out of my pocket for everything - it's not sustainable with this size of the channel and views it generates. It's pity because they do make good sounding products. It's similar with Schiit too. They simply didn't respond when I asked for review samples. I purchased everything Schiit I had on this channel myself, paid shipping, import taxes... But I don't like puting in days of work for free (YT income barely covers my expenses after selling those products in such cases). So that would be it in a nutshell. Smaller reviewers, especially the ones outside of big markets (US, UK, Canada, Germany, etc.) are just not interesting to many western brands. So if it seems that content is biased towards Chinese products, it's only because they're much more forthcoming to smaller reviewers like myself.
I think you mentioned that there are (several?) filters in this Eversolo DAC Z8 - and if there is some choice, I am assuming that you left it on the default? And that if those were worth mentioning, you would have? VU meters is a novel thing on anything, but especially on a DAC. Any insight on what its internal power supply is?
I circled true the filters and noticed only minor differences with some, no differences with others... so not worth mentioning in my opinion. As for the power supply, it says that it is a low noise, low ripple, regulated power supply. From what I've seen in the images (I haven't opened it myself), it looks like a good quality SMPS.
Please, a need an answer. Can you youse RCA and XLR of this DAC at the same time? I want to use mu subs along with the RCAs for the amp and that's how I use my Topping E50. I will buy this one straight away, if it can do this
My dx5 went into the same loop. I'm getting a k7 after listening to BTA30 pro and hiby r3pro with my speakers I'm convinced the DAC is around 20% important in a speaker setup.
Hope you could use warranty or any kind of return policy for DX5. They really messed it up with that. I can tolerate all sorts of small problems but this one effectively renders the whole device useless. And it's such a pity for it to happen to such a nice sounding model. BTW, I'm also getting K7 in for a review. Hope it's good.

This company exists since 2014 in Shenzen. They are very well known in media players. So, your idea of SMSL similarity can be put to sleep. Also, this is not the only DAC on the market. Check out Z6. Peace out!
Yeah, no measurements so all you say are words like warm, dynamic , full, juicy, punch, weight, solid, boldness, clarity, edged, focus, diffusion, extension. soundstage and that a SMSL has less bass. Again, it's just words that you are selling. All meaning less without measurements no scientific basis.
You have ASR for that. But if you ever realise that two DACs with very similar measurements actually have different tonality, soundstage, etc. you're welcome back to find out about those differences.

That means that in my house with my headphone they could theoretically sound different. So the only level playing field are measurements, which you dont provide. So for learning about aspects and looking at the form factors, what button does this and that, ok, everything else, I just tune out, so 90 sec are enough.

A proper AB test works just fine. in the mean time, these are just ads in new media.

Eversolo now has two dongle dac/headamps the H1 and H2. Might be interesting for your channel.
I prefer equipment with Gravitas. So, build quality means the inside is likely, as not, Quality as well.

It would work but not great (flat sound). I wouldn't buy it for that kind of use.

Similar in overall quality but have different tonality. Tradutto is bassy and a bit darker up top. Z8 has less bass and more highs, makes for a very clean and a bit lean sound.

It should be a bit cleaner and more dynamic. Not sure if it justifies the upgrade or how would it pair with H90 though.

Smaller reviewers, especially the ones outside of big markets (US, UK, Canada, Germany, etc.) are just not interesting to many western brands. So if it seems that content is biased towards Chinese products, it's only because they're much more forthcoming to smaller reviewers like myself.

I think you mentioned that there are (several?) filters in this Eversolo DAC Z8 - and if there is some choice, I am assuming that you left it on the default? And that if those were worth mentioning, you would have? VU meters is a novel thing on anything, but especially on a DAC. Any insight on what its internal power supply is?
I circled true the filters and noticed only minor differences with some, no differences with others... so not worth mentioning in my opinion. As for the power supply, it says that it is a low noise, low ripple, regulated power supply. From what I've seen in the images (I haven't opened it myself), it looks like a good quality SMPS.

Please, a need an answer. Can you youse RCA and XLR of this DAC at the same time? I want to use mu subs along with the RCAs for the amp and that's how I use my Topping E50. I will buy this one straight away, if it can do this

My dx5 went into the same loop. I'm getting a k7 after listening to BTA30 pro and hiby r3pro with my speakers I'm convinced the DAC is around 20% important in a speaker setup.
Hope you could use warranty or any kind of return policy for DX5. They really messed it up with that. I can tolerate all sorts of small problems but this one effectively renders the whole device useless. And it's such a pity for it to happen to such a nice sounding model.
BTW, I'm also getting K7 in for a review. Hope it's good.
@@iiWiReviews thanks to amazon they gave me 80% back even after 2 months. topping replied to my email later but i doubt it would have been a better deal or a replacement would have been delivered within a week. a local dealer would be nice but i'll take amazon anyday given their unreal customer service experience.

This company exists since 2014 in Shenzen. They are very well known in media players. So, your idea of SMSL similarity can be put to sleep. Also, this is not the only DAC on the market. Check out Z6. Peace out!

I would rate them in the same tier but with a slight preference for SU-9 pro if you don't need a head-amp.

Yeah, no measurements so all you say are words like warm, dynamic , full, juicy, punch, weight, solid, boldness, clarity, edged, focus, diffusion, extension. soundstage and that a SMSL has less bass. Again, it's just words that you are selling. All meaning less without measurements no scientific basis.
You have ASR for that. But if you ever realise that two DACs with very similar measurements actually have different tonality, soundstage, etc. you're welcome back to find out about those differences.
@@iiWiReviews Your reviews are as good as they sound to you in your room to your ears. They are 100% subjective. That means that in my house with my headphone they could theoretically sound different. So the only level playing field are measurements, which you dont provide. So for learning about aspects and looking at the form factors, what button does this and that, ok, everything else, I just tune out, so 90 sec are enough.

However to say I have Golden Ears and I can tell between 2 similarly priced (and known for their measurements as stellar) and say one has better bass. If anything I am advocating for these reviewers to up their game. Learn a bit and make measurements. You don't need expensive gear to do so. A proper AB test works just fine. in the mean time, these are just ads in new media.

Учитывая, что раньше хорваты говорили на сербском языке и писали кириллицей, а так как они католики, то была создана латинская версия сербской письменности, а сегодня они пишут латиницей и говорят на сербском языке, кого они называли Хорватский! Это как разница в языке, на котором говорят в Санкт-Петербурге и Москве! Никакой разницы..... Обратите внимание! Латинский алфавит - это сербский алфавит! Этим шрифтом пишут многие православные сербы!
