No one used the devo in season 1-3, considered mediocre at best, but when it became a care package weapon people started to use it, when it came back, people cried even though it was the same as before, they nerfed it and the same people say it is op that’s said it was trash in season 1-3, a gun is only a problem when people use it a lot
@@thsxi Actually, it got moved to care packages BECAUSE pros started to complain about it. And they still don't really use it...but it has always been a strong gun if you can find the turbo.

What I really loved with the Mastiff in general is that I could just bring a slot of shotgun shells (16) and that would be enough. I think for an Eva shotgun I'd need atleast 2 slots (32) shotgun shells.
I always, no matter which shotgun, carried at least 32 shots. If I get a good enough backpack early game, I will carry 48 when using an Eva-8, so I don't need to grab any throughout out the game (hopefully)
Yeah Mastiff is just very ammo efficient. One slot per fight is plenty for Mastiff and you most likely can replenish easily with how often people use shotguns. That one free slot can be filled with anything you need, grenade/battery/phoenix, or even extra ammo for main weapons. There's a reason why pros like WM + Mastiff combo to pubstomps, they want that slots efficiency.
i normally carry 8 stacks of ammo total, and organise it based on what im using, if im using a shotty and an ar id take 2 stacks of shotgun and 6 of ar, but then with an smg id go 1-7, or for dual smgs i'd go 4-4. it just depends on what im runnin
i lowkey kinda miss the double tap on the eva. It would hit for 120ish damage to the body per burst. I think if the eva still had that hopup, it mighta been a true mastiff/PK replacement
I actually think the Mastiff Is in a good place now; It may need a slight buff perhaps if other people are finding the EVA significantly better but overall, the ability to not get 2 shot is quite nice.
I think the original problem was not only it's damage, but just how quick a fight could 180. The ability to 2-shot body shot any player in the game was a tad annoying and felt scummy to use; especially when a fight had a clear winner and, by pure miracle, the mastiff two shots the entire team 😂 Like sure, that is skill I won't lie, but it also was a broken gun lol
I just didn't like how high the damage stayed at 20+ m out, if they nerf the damage instead of the range then thats cool they already nerfed the range in s 7
the eva is honestly in my opinion better than the pk IF you hit the shots, it's more forgiving if you miss and the fire rate is a lot faster only thing that separates the two is that the pk hits for a lot more. if you want to play cover use the pk if you want to melt someone use the eva but people are going to complain about the eva so maybe next patch or something the mozam hammer points will be the meta

Well, two weeks later, I have seen almost nobody running the Eva-8 and people just shifted away from the Mastiff towards guns like R99 / Volt in my experience.
The Eva feels like the most rng gun in the game. Sometimes you get a good burst and hit someone for 89 or get unlucky and somehow hit someone for 7 two times in a row.
Way too inconsistent, I had a wraith at 5 m STANDING STILL directly in the middle of the hip fire cross hairs and I missed ALL of the pellets on ALL 3 SHOTS
I think the ring flares are hype af. People like to complain, they're gonna miss these tight heat shield fights in the future when heat shields aren't free anymore.
The title is too accurate! People are saying everyone who is using the Spitty is braindead but most people using it are the pros cause casuals are still trying to get good with the R99 and Mastiff lmao.
I also like how no one relized that double tap almost one shot with a head shot on purple armour, with only like 5-10 hp left. Sucks to see them remove it.
Now that I think of it, the EVA is kinda like the wingman, but more accurate and precise at a shorter distance, and much faster than the flatline anvil single shot. Or you can just triple take up close lol

Well its the better poison compared to Mastiff imo. Getting blasted in the face with a shotgun and dying feels more acceptable than, getting sniped by a mastiff from miles away. My only gripe with mastiff was people pulling it out at insanely long ranges.
the only reason i prefer the mastiff still to the eva8 is because i can actually land my shots with the mastiff, lmao the eva8 isnt a bad gun by any means and i definitely get my ass clapped with it on the regular, but i just cant control it well so if imma run a shotgun i prefer the mastiff or even the mozam to the eva
Eva is really good now. I think the fire rate with purple bolt should be merged a little bit. If you have good aim you can obliterate someone. I think it was just over looked with the heavy hits of the mastiff and pk. It’s good if you can hit your shots.
I think for the fun of it they should add the precision choke to the eva for an event like with the 8 shot mozam like just overpower it through the roof

The eva take a considerably larger amount of skill than the spitfire, and it's shots are inconsistent since it's round shot pattern, you can easily miss a lot of pellets if youre not aimed directly in the middle of their body.
