    The minerals looked interesting. Silica bound everything millions of years ago. Sometimes gold too 👍🤠

      Yes, who knows there might be gold (or silver) in my rock, but I don't want to destroy it by crushing it! Maybe running a metal detector over it would be good. :o)

    How are you liking using the proper gold pan?
    That 2nd piece of quartz looked good.
    Marcasite can create sulphuric acid after oxidisation.

      I'm OK with the Garrett now I'm used to it. The 14-inch one can be a bit heavy, especially if I load it up well. It's good to have some more options, though. :o)
