James Taylor's music is the soundtrack of my life. It's amazing how his words and music and lyrics sync with the events and situations I've lived through
I agree with you, but it’s not only J. T. who has overcome his drug addiction. There are many others too who are still performing just as well, if not better, after going thru the same. * For instance - Clapton + Beth Hart - just to name 2.
You know ive always wondered if James taylor actually running this channel or he has someone doing it for him ??? Im sure other famous folks have theirs being managed etc. Im 62 a big fan for years. Grew up with his music. Love his music. In fact one of my favorites is. OUR TOWN. ❤️❤️🙏🙏💯
🩷 This song both for James’s voice and the song’s lyrics! He’s aged well in my 70ish y.o. opinion, but I don’t recall EVER having heard THIS song before today. IDK why it hasn’t more views, comments, or 👍 - are there NO other ‘Baby Boomers’ out there who have seen this (from 2 months ago) I wonder 🤔!? Taylor’s music was a large part of this generation’s culture, and popular music, as were Dylan, Neil Young, etc.
When I was 5 yrs old my parents had a big problem because I would sneak out of the house with my dolls and a stroller and pretend baby bottles (for the trip) and I kept trying to run away to James Taylor’s house! (From Texas) My dad told me he would walk next to me asking me if I knew how far California was because that’s where James lived. I tried doing this dozens of times. I’m 39 yrs old and a single mom to a 5 yr old daughter. I’m also still dedicated to supporting music as a booking agent. But I’ve been through hell and I still like love to actually meet James Taylor. I never made it and somehow I hope he will see this comment and help my lifelong dream come true.
Eres un genio, te escucho todos los días, porque me gusta tu musica. Mis canciones favoritas son Handy Man y You've Got A Friend. Saludos desde Argentina.🙌🤟
That was/is Leland Sklar on bass - member of the session players of the 70's dubbed "The Section" - now part of the Immediate Family, which also includes Danny Kortchmar, and Russ Kunkel from those prolific recording stars.
A quick correction on your thumbnail : This song is from James' 1972 album "One Man Dog" not "Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon". Both great albums, but I always like to give credit to the sometimes underappreciated "One Man Dog" album.
PREMIERE Friday, February 16, at 11.30am ET/ 5.30pm CET
Sounds like the soundtrack to my life man… thanks for always being part of my memories James ❤
Hello James! Hope you're doing great!
Who was your bass player on this?
Man, that Carlos Vega was a smooth and groovy drummer. Miss him. 😔
Who was it that said some nights, James Taylor's voice sounds like God. This was definitely one of those nights.
James Taylor's music is the soundtrack of my life. It's amazing how his words and music and lyrics sync with the events and situations I've lived through

James Taylor is good to listen to anytime. His music has a calming effect. And a happy effect too. It's all good James Taylor!♥️♥️♥️🤗
I'm so happy everything worked out for James! Addiction is hard to get out of.
But, he had good friends and his lovely wife.❤❤
James' wife Kathryn Walker was his guardian angel, rescuing from the horrible grip of addiction.

Love you, James. Thank you for creating the music that lives and touches our rusty existence and helps me shine enough to enjoy the passage of time.

Would be nice/helpful to credit the other musicians
Bill Payne on the synth..????
Daniel Day Lewis must be James's kid.
Missing something without the saxophone solo. 😓
Don't forget to get your ashes for Mary.
