Geaux Tigers and Geaux Southern. I liked seeing Southern's no quit attitude at the end even though they got blasted for most of the game. Hopefully LSU can build off this win and have more confidence for SEC play.
I'm happy. This officially ends any QB compeition. Nuss should transfer next year. If Damiels decides to stay he'll start, if not then Howard will start.
Nuss isn't ready. He'll be a really good qb with some proper training. Bk and the staff will develop him and Nuss will be very good. He has talent just needs guidance on his decision making. Jayden will go to the NFL after this season.
This was the type of execution the team needed. Still some things to clean up, but this was the best warm up game we could have asked for. The backups have some work to do, but at least everyone has film to look at and become better.
For LSU to have only had 39 players when BK took over they executed well. The 3rd team offense and defense full of transfers and roster fillers will fade out next year and I'm sure lsu will get back to playoff contention after this season

I was a freshman when I attended Southern in 1988. The students from each campus traditionally visit and party with one another. Once you make it through the many acres that these two schools sit on, you’ll notice that they are literally a block away from one another.

The comments about LSU playing a smaller school is something they have been doing since the early 2000s (if I remember correctly). It started when App St flew down to play LSU and our own McNeese St (Louisiana school) was flying out of state to play up north somewhere. LSU decided it was going to play one Louisiana school each year. Louisiana Tech, Louisiana Lafayette, McNeese and the like. The revenue that these schools get from the one game in Baton Rouge literally pays for their entire budget. LSU thanks for helping local schools and keeping the money in state. 🎉

I can't believe LSU was still throwing the ball up 44-0. If you rush and gain 100 yards, fine. But throwing bombs like it's a close game is pretty classless. The game completely sold out lol. Plus Southern walked away with $650k+. Sounds like a win in my book. Everyone in Baton Rouge enjoyed the game regardless of the school.
