After removing the 10mm screws, you didn't mention if there was any cables to remove before detaching the unit?

Can I ask? Was it simply a case of pulling power from those existing cables? Looking to replace mine as well but not really bothered about integrating with head unit, just happy to have it as independent streamer or running off SD card.
Yes in simplest form you can have it I dependant and tap into the existing wiring.
