The drummer is incredible. Her playing is so dynamic and crisp, so in sync with every nuance of Molly and the bassist. He’s also great. This is the best rhythm section I’ve heard with Molly.
Jay Bellerose is a highly skilled drummer and I love Jennifer Condos’ beautiful bass playing, but these guys are just so exciting. They kick it up a notch.
Molly’s performance is outstanding. It’s the wild abandon that can only come after so much learning that you can just forget all of that shit and go for it.

I would have thought this tune a poor choice for jazz improv, but these musicians really handled it well. A few dynamic and harmonic surprises, nice tone, and overall great interaction between players. Excellent work!

Where to start except MY GOD? First off, I've never heard of you, TH-cam sent me a suggestion and since my wife is crazy about this song, I clicked it. 30 seconds in she says, "Is she gonna sing?" I'm busy listening to the drummer, the guitar, hoping my wife doesn't make me play this. She leaves and I can get into the details. I just love the originality of this take on the song, I love how it's so TIGHT yet it has this feeling that it might fall apart, but it's under control at the same time. Classic Jazz. The Drums at the end just melted my heart, I would never mind about I would for such a drummer. I subscribed, if there was a doubt.

Wow!. .so totally fresh. Great tone on the guitar and bass. The drummer is outrageous. Drums and guitar are locked in to almost melodic counterpoint. She’s playing rhythmic phrases… been decades since I’ve heard that kind of playing from a percussionist. It’s a rare gift in my book. I’m hooked. Wonderful ensemble playing and the kicker is i can’t stand the song. . .until now! LOL. . Thanks for posting this up, will pass it around to some of my music partners.

Woof! That was tight. It takes real skill and imagination to cover a well known, epic piece in a different style and not offend the sensibilities [no, that's not right, 'turn off' maybe?] of those raised on the song. So I guess what I'm trying to say, is BRAVO!
Not offended??? It’s a multiple decades old song. Alex Skolnick has been doing these jazz guitar rock remakes since the early 2000s, or at least he did. It all sounds pretty good. The sensibilities of Cat Stevens you’d have to in your 70s to take offense lol
@@shitmandood Apologies - I used the wrong phrase here. Had difficulty finding the right words. The point I was trying to make is that it's easy to get attached to the original song when you grew up with it and hearing covers often doesn't feel right. It's a personal opinion, of course. In this case, I really liked this version.
