😮 Little Orphan Annie as a despicable union-buster? Is that a real panel from the comic strip? If so, does the next panels show that she realizes her mistake?
Hi, Robin, thanks for your comment. The answer is: yes, this is real, and NO she did not realize her mistake -- in fact in the follow-up strip, she physically beats up the boy for being lazy (who is standing outside the newspaper office picketing), and takes his job. In fact, if you open the episode in a podcast app, you can see some of the panels in the episode thumbnail. It encapsulates Harold Gray's philosophies perfectly.

At the time it was written, it was an example of Annie's "optimistic" internal dialogue. It is not any part of the plot of the comic strip.
