I wish theyd bring it back like they did with forge, but it probably wont happen cause apparently people like fighting in a coliseum more than cooking in a swamp
Don't quote me on this, but I think I heard from somewhere once that the servers ended up being pretty costly to operate for the amount of money they were bringing in. I assume the events were used to try to get more players to buy the game and purchase skin packs and such. I honestly believe that both the forge and the gorge have already been used to their full business potential, and that the reason we haven't been getting any more of these kinds of events is because they just weren't paying themselves off in the way Klei had hoped. I do hope that I'm wrong though, it'd be really fun to participate in these kinds of events again.

Thats kind of what i was referring to in the original comment, people liked forge more so i assume klei got some profit from the event and decided to bring it back, while a lot less people like cooking in this game so they didn't play gorge and klei probably lost money from it
This was such a fun event!! My dad and me made a list of what seeds made what, we always worked together, and i... always picked webber for whatever reason.
The gorge event was soo good
the re-gorge-itated mod brings it back, with extra gamemodes. there's also a clientside mod for main menu matchmaking, like the original had!
