Summer is evil, the music sounds evil... also the music just gives the feeling of *"imminent danger"*, specially when you know that *literally all your crap is going to burn at any moment* (manure is the most precious thing in the whole game XD), summer music gives you the feeling of haste. Winter gives a bit of a christmas spirit, but not too much since you're still trying to survive, so it makes it more like that *"at any moment you're going to start freezing"* / *"Just chilling over here"* moments, winter music gives the feeling of calmness, despite having to do stuff. Spring is a moment where you can be very active, *the music is kinda catchy* and it's like *"you can finally do stuff you couldn't earlier due to winter*", so everything is just going to *warm up*, without having to bring campfire materials, the music fits a bit with the constant rain, the spring music makes you feel energetic / active. Autumn... the season that everything is *calm and relaxed*... the music is calm, not fast-paced neither slow-paced, the music just feels like nothing much is going on, everything is okay, *not too hot, wet, or cold*... it's like a taking a break! it's like *"You don't have to worry much, just get some food and relax"*, the autumn music makes you feel that there's nothing to worry about!

I'd say the summer in Don't Starve isn't overdramatic. On the last couple of years there've been tons of wildfires for example in Canada or Australia, you can't stand this heat for 5 minutes, yet to survive while doing hard manual labor.

(10 seconds later) Are you sure you want to move the program "don't starve together" to the recycling bin? *clicks yes* are you sure you want to empty the recycling bin? *clicks yes* This has happened to every don't starve player's first summer correct?
I had like 200+ hours in the game before i got to summer so no. I had icefling-o-matic ready, *COOL AND GOOD* thermal stone ready, endothermic fire pit ready.
Every fucking summer I try to chop some trees or whatever just for listen this music while playing, without putting EVERYTHING in fire or just simply die because of heat or whatever

I prefer Winter to Summer in-game. I need at least 2 slots (Hat + Umbrella) to get less protection from heat, than protection from cold in winter with just a Beefalo Hat. It's also more expensive to cool down with endofire pits, whereas in winter you can just make a regular fire.

Its years back now and you probably don't even play DS anymore but I am still going to post this anyway x) from what I experienced the Eyebrella or something like that is what it's called is the best for dealing with heat in summer; you have to kill the dearclops in winter to get the eyeball to be able to craft it but its totally worth (only head slot is in use and you only need a thermal stone with that and no summer can mess around with you anymore) :D

But then you remember this game is an asshole and soon enough your food is spoiled, your cube is boiled, and your camp is in flames because a giant insect buried in sand that lives in fuck if I know made the ground shake and destroyed your ice flingomatic
ah my first summer in don't starve it was hell my berry bushes all withered getting wounded trying to put out the smoldering bushes all whilst trying to keep enough wood for my endothermic fire pit and making sure i didn't starve thank goodness i set the summer length to really low otherwise summer would have been my end

The Dragonfly is always around in Don't Starve Together no matter the season, in one of the desert biomes.
