    You can just say SCADA monitors and collects data on inputs/outputs on DCS, PLC and PID

    • @engineeringwithengineers6123
      @engineeringwithengineers6123 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes
      SCADA is designed for only storing and monitoring the filed data with its software packages like SQL server

    scada system is only a software? does it work without hardware part like rtu, field device or server?

    • @eclecticclasses
      @eclecticclasses  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      SCADA does need hardware part. Without hardware information collection won't be possible. But those hardware does not come under the category of SCADA.

    • @youtubeuser1082
      @youtubeuser1082 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ECLECTIC CLASSES
      Field devices (sensors), rtu, communication channel, mmu are the essential elements of scada. Aren't they? Without these elements, can scada perform monitoring or controlling? can you give more clarification?

    • @eclecticclasses
      @eclecticclasses  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      PLC or DCS controls and does the decision making kind of things as per the program stored in their memory, but to monitor the system by human being we need SCADA.
      For an example Siemens PLC is being used for controlling the operation of process but WinCC SCADA is used for developing the HMI through which man gets an interface to monitor and control the process / operation.
      Hope you got my point.

    Dear sir,when we operate the two same generators with PLC,if one generator wolud fails,then waht happend to other generator,and how the total load will support? And what we do now,this is my interview question,Plss explain as soon as possible

    • @eclecticclasses
      @eclecticclasses  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +mahesh vasa , Hi , as per the above scenario, if two generators are running in parallel on full load and one generator trips, total load will be shifted to the running generator , Now the PLC will function to start load shedding as per the settings already done in the PLC.
      If everything happens as above no issues, but if due to any reason like load shedding is not completed in the required time, overload situation will arise for the second generator causing it to trip finally resulting in a black out.
      Hope , I answered your query.

    • @flashmedia8953
      @flashmedia8953 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ECLECTIC CLASSES yes, motor overloading is a problem under overloading situation. It would require more current and power on the second motor to make up for the not-working motor. So a PLC should be programmed to maintained a constant power independently of the second and first motors under an overloading situation.

    What is HMI

    • @eclecticclasses
      @eclecticclasses  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Human Machine Interface, which acts as an intermediary between user and controller. Field devices are controlled by the Controller's like PLC or DCS, but they don't understand our command directly, we give command through the HMI, which is conveyed to the controller for action on the field device. HMI is used to control and monitor the Process.
      Hope it will clarify the point.
      Thanks for watching my video, stay tuned for more videos which I will upload very soon.
