when ppl speak a different language the pronunciation of their surname changes according to the language. the name Hernandez is pronounced with an English accent if they're speaking English and with a Spanish accent if they're speaking Spanish. like with location names. No one says Los AnGeles/MeJico if they're talking about the places in English, they say laws angeles, meXico in an American accent; these change to the correct pronunciation if it's a convo in Spanish.
I do I know I'm Mexican and I don't make my name sound English just like I don't make an English name sound Spanish like for example take Hale I don't say Ale with no H the H is a J sound but Hernandez that's a silent H and they know and it's sooo annoying most especially cuz they're so latino looking
