Huh! My back yard! I wondered what it would look like through the cockpit of an FJR! That's a beauty of a ride there are a lot of great roads in this area and the state of Virginia takes excellent care of their roads there's a lot of Road burners in the area on on hyper bikes keep an eye out for Virginia's finest LOL!
We tried to ride over the Smokies to hit the Blue Ridge Parkway southern end (exact opposite of you), but traffic was so horrible on the Tennessee side of the Smokies, we bailed and did the Foothills Parkway and Tail of the Dragon. If y'all make it down this way, I'd be happy to give you some routes or ride along with you and show you some of the most popular motorcycle roads in the world :-)
Thanks for sharing the wonderful drive. But why would you be selling your fjr!? I bought my 2020 this summer and I plan to keep it till I can ride no more.
The FJR is a great bike but I bought a KTM 1290r and suites me better and more the things I want to do with it like more gravel and off-road rides but can also still a great on the ride bike. Congrats on the new bike!
@12:20 is the best part of the ride for me! Getting home and the kids act like they haven't seen you in a decade.
Couldn't agree more. Love getting out on the bike but nothing better than coming home to the kids when they're so excited to see you!

I agree on the beautiful ride through the Virginia mountains especially in the fall!

Def going to make it down there hopefully next year and would love to catch up and ride together!
Nice Video. That road has some spectacular views and is fun to ride without the crowd.
Thanks Alan. Look forward to going back when I can get there on a week day.
Hey Boyer, ya missed an opportunity. Those orange cones were for slalom.... I think ! Were'nt they ?
Hahah. Definitely missed an opportunity but don’t know how pumped the officer would’ve been.
