    Dan becomes the song he sings. He IS the song. No matter what he sings.

    Dan has such a powerful voice and definitely has 'stage presence'. Another amazingly awesome duet is 'Kiss from a Rose' which he does with Violet Orlandi. All Dan's covers are brilliant. Thank you for your great reaction.

    Btw, because most of us like Dan so much I think many of us would enjoy hearing any outro words Dan may choose to add at the end. He sometimes gives interesting details about other performers in the video. The more Dan the better!

    If you haven't reacted to Dan Vasc perform The Music Of The Night from Phantom Of The Opera, I would highly recommend it. It is an amazing performance.

    You have to listen to Dan’s Nessu Dorma, I think it’s written. Dan sing it so well

      @ModernLifeForThe70sMind If you want to hear just Dan without a lot of bells and whistles, check out his rendition of "Kissed by a Rose" from about 8 or so years ago. No Metal in this version, but you can really hear just how GOOD his voice is!

    You have to listen to his other Phanton of the opera he have. And the best - Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar. He is also an actor.

    One more quick suggestion - check out Dan's very first video - the DragonForce Audition (The Last Journey Home), and then, check out the remake he did ten years later. You'll be amazed at how much he grew and developed as a singer.

    Glad you reacted to this one. He does such a wonderful job! Looking forward to you reacting to more of his works. And I googled Dragica's name pronunciation. It is DRAJ-ick-uh. There you go! I've seen Phantom of the Opera - it was tremendous! Outstanding musical talents and Fantastic special effects.
    And now I'm really curious as to what you'll react to from the 70's. No need to apologize, it just proves you're human like the rest of us. 😆

    I love this song. Not sure if you have the version of Nightwish from End of an Era tour - it is the favorite version of the composer.

    While she hit the upper notes, she really doesn't have the breath control to hold the highest note as long as she should. I will admit I am a bit of a phantom snob, having seen Sarah Brightman, for whom Phantom was actually written. I have also seen the movie enough to nearly destroy the dvd. It is hard to listen to anyone who sings Christine's role differently.
    Dan is such a generous duet partner and knows how to make his partner sound wonderful, he can harmonize with anyone. I really feel, unfortunately, that Dan's role was held back from what he could have done with a better partner. I would love to see him do this song with Alina Lesnik.
    He does sing a Phantom song with Alina (on her channel) "All I Ask of You" (Christine's song with her fiance). They sing so well together.

    Hey Bob.
    Awesome version, they did a great job. Both have great voices. This sounds like the Nightwish arrangement.
    Now you should do both Nightwish versions. Yes ,there is more than one. Tarja and Marko on vocals from the 2005 End of an Era show. And Floor and Dutch phantom Henk Poort from The Netherlands in 2022. (links in reply). Dan Vasc sounds like he used elements of both Henk and Marko's styles.
    I hate when buttons move and I hit the wrong one. 🤣

      I think I like that idea! I may do a dual reaction on those. Can't wait to see all the copyright notices pop up when I do that one! Ha. The button was completely my fault. I hit the stop on the recording program I use instead of the Play button on TH-cam. My entire video was full of blunders, so I just went with it. LOL

    I also think Dan should stand alone, so much talent in one package. I really love him! I think you talk too much, it’s about the singers, not you. Sorry, please forgive me.

    I'm not too excited by Christine as a Corpselike Goth Princess, like Lilly Munster. I prefer her as the engenue of the program. Dan is outstanding, and both of their vocals are killer. It is just that the visuals are unsettling. If you want to hear Dan really DESTROY ALW, try his version of Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar (speaking of the seventies...)

    While I enjoyed this performance, I’m so stuck in the image of Christine as a more vulnerable/delicate character. Dragiça did not fit that mold, and I just need to get over it. 😆. Powerful vocals from them both. 👍🏼
    Great haircut, btw, Bob! 😊

    I watched "Le Miz" before "Phantom" and that was a huge mistake as "Phantom" fell flat. What you heard is right in that "Phantom" is not a great show. Buy the CD and enjoy the songs.

    70's pop music sucked ass. Just sayin'.

    • @ModernLifeForThe70sMind

      Hi. Every era has its fair share of horrible songs. So, what songs do you find to be so bad?

    • @CelticSpiritsCoven
      @CelticSpiritsCoven ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ModernLifeForThe70sMind Ha! Sure there were some good ones.
      My beef is with disco.

    • @ModernLifeForThe70sMind
      @ModernLifeForThe70sMind  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CelticSpiritsCoven LOL. Yea, that one divided a lot of people. The whole Disco Sucks thing here in Chicago eventually took down the big disco radio station here. I enjoyed it, but I basically enjoyed almost every genre. I can't listen to the same thing over and over again. Just out of curiosity, what's your favorite era of music? If I had to boil it down, mine would probably be mid-60's to mid 70's.

    • @CelticSpiritsCoven
      @CelticSpiritsCoven ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ModernLifeForThe70sMind I am all over the map on what I like, but I can't stand some types of rap, I have issues with 70's disco, and country music literally makes me feel angry inside.
      My older sister loves disco. I asked her once why she likes disco, and she said that the songs were about having a good time. I guess she is right. But I still can't stand 70's disco. lol
      My issue with some rap styles is that I don't care about your personal drama (like a soap opera on TV, I just don't care about their contrived drama), and also that I feel that a vocalist should sing actual notes. And also that I do not care to hear about drugs, dominance for money, and intense sex culture.
      As for some intense heavy metal.... well I like to understand the words that singers sing. When they do nothing but grunt in raspy voices, I lose interest.
      Nirvana was my favorite band. I hated the top 40's in the 80's, didn't like hair bands at all. When Nirvana came out, I was in awe that 3 dudes were so loud and were not afraid to go nuts on stage. I'm a little younger than you (47).
      My playlist goes from gospel, to show-tunes, to 80's hair bands, to European electro, to heavy metal, to dance club music. I do enjoy goth-electro!
      Goth has a bit of special place in my heart. Could be because I am a Witch. Type O Negative was fantastic when they came out!
      Thanks for asking.
      Do you have any wisdom nuggets to share?

    • @ModernLifeForThe70sMind
      @ModernLifeForThe70sMind  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CelticSpiritsCoven Oh, I remember when Nirvana came out. I was blown away. I had always categorized my music in playlists, and I just didn't quite know where to place Nirvana. To me, it was just so unique and different. To this day I play their music on a regular basis. It was nice to see the Foo Fighters do as well as they did. So we agree on that, but I've never been huge on show tunes and you would NEVER see me at a Broadway play. I do like certain songs though...this is one. I've really gotten excited about symphonic metal lately. Just love it. So many good bands out there. When you described the "3 dudes", I had that exact same feeling when I first started listening to Rush. I couldn't believe what I was listening to. They're near and dear to my heart to this day.
      Words of wisdom? LOL Regarding music, the only thing I ever tell people is to listen to at least three songs from someone before you write them off. There are always gems to find in the rough. Other than that, just don't limit yourself. Don't be afraid to at least try to listen to something you would never dream of listening to. I've done that and have found some wonderful artists that I never dreamed I would enjoy or had ever even heard of before. That's what makes doing this channel so great...I've gotten to know SO many new artists. My latest favorite is The Warning. Those girls can rock it out.
