    In this video, we go through the step-by-step procedure for replacing the cover glass on the back (main) camera on a Samsung Galaxy S10e.
    If you have broken camera glass on your phone, this is the technique you want to use to replace the camera cover glass.
    I recommend purchasing replacement camera lens cover glass that already has the adhesive glue installed, like a sticker. It makes it a lot easier to replace.

    mine luckily fell and only cracked the camera glass with no damage anywhere else. and it kind of spider webbed so i think i can pick the glass out as it is. id leave it but its totally ruined using the ultrawide.
    its ok if some of the glass bits / dust fall down in the cameras though? i was thinking past wiping it with a microfiber, maybe holding a vacuum near the opening or using compressed air could help too?

      Yes, that would work. I think compressed air is a great idea. Try to use 'clean' air (like those cans they use for getting dust out of a keyboard), and start out far from the lens and slowly move closer as necessary, so you don't overwhelm it . Good luck! 😀

    Ikr. Also the way he did it with sharp objects. I mean I've done it before with qtip gently, it shouldn't be a problem. Btw, can you link me to that calibration thing where it is mentioned in greater detail? Genuinely curious. Because I've done many repairs and light cleaning doesn't really cause any problems.

    Ohhh...
    So the lens alone is fixable?
    Thanks alot.

      Yes, you can replace the cover glass. One thing to clarify, it is not actually the lens itself, it is just the piece of glass/plastic that covers it. Hope it helps!

    After you wipe out the camera lens I really doubt your camera ever worked right again.
    Those camera lenses are so precise calibrated that once you tuch it will never work right again... it will be out of focus or blurry forever.

    Is it glass, or is it plastic?

      Believe it or not kind, it's kind of hard to tell. Based on the way that it cracked and splintered when I was removing it, it seemed more like glass..

    hey there. it's my first time doing DIY and I wanted to try this on my S10+ because the repairman accidentally had his fingerprint inside the glass and it makes photos blurry. is there any way I can gently crack the glass instead of using a drill? kinda scares me 🥲

      Could also carefully pry at the edge with a razor blade, good luck!

      @@PracticalMechanic should i heat the adhesive so i can remove the glass easily?

      @PracticalMechanic  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @acklzzz yes, that would be best. Just don't over do it. Use a hair dryer or similar. Getting it too hot could cause other problems.
