I don’t like putting on a bulky case but what I don’t like even more is shelling out 250.00 to fix a cracked screen
I work driving a yard truck in a yard with a lot of deep potholes it literally looks like I’m on the show ice road truckers where you bounce in the seat 3 feet and almost hit your head in the roof lol
Last year my note 8 jumped out of a box on my dashboard and cracked the screen
So this year my iPhone X’s max I got an OtterBox defender just for work
And when I want to go out on the town for the weekend I’ll put on a different case
It’s not going to guarantee that it won’t land on a rock and crack but it has better chances
I am a defender series lover
I got this for my Pixel xl its pretty big but the protection is worth it i need it for the bend protection
Defender use to be my favorite case back in the day with the iPhone 3GS and so forth but I since been using the Commuter which works great for me.

hey man! great video! question. I saw a video of someone saying that the case creaks when on the phone like when they press on the sides it makes a creaking noise, did that happen to you? he also said that the phone seemed loose inside the case and was shifting around while in the case. have you noticed that? I know you don't use the case much but when you had it on did you notice any creaking or shifting? I want to get this case but fear it wont fit firmly/ I'm like you when it comes to wanting a tight fit.Thanks!
side note...completely missed the part where you said you don't hear creaking haha my bad.
ah ok got it thanks!. But you didn't notice your phone sliding around in the defender right? someone said they did in another video and that made me real hesitant. Like the case was loose and the phone wasn't secure. I may get the defender and the presidio grip to try them both out

For a product that claimed to offer protection but leave the front screen vulnerable, it is no protection at all. This is a total waste of money.
It ain’t that hard to take off or on. Just follow the instructions. I take mine off once a week to clean my phone. I do this with all my phones.
i love defender but dont really like the black one coz its too simple!
The way you remove the rubber part of the case is how people always ruin these

If you need to buy a SEPARATE product to protect the screen, you are better off buying a product that have in-built front screen protection e.g. Supcase Beetle Unicorn Pro case.
i was interested in getting a mouse case but when i click on a video all i see is the ad for mous now im looking into a different case

The Defender is good for my 8. But damn makes the X like a brick.
Love that this one now removes the screen. Much better without it
Actually, the only thing that stops me from buying it is because there is no protection to the front (ie. screen). I can understand if it is other series but for defender series which we expect to have max protection since it is used in "extreme" conditions, we should and need to have good front screen protection. If you think your phone screen can survive a fall onto a small stone head on, you will be sorry. If the front is not protected, essentially there is no protection at all (weakest link concept) and this is a total waste of money.
