      Cooking With Bo it’s so good. The marrow makes the broth so rich.

    This is an awesome recipe. Filipinos put patis as well (fish sauce) but a turn off for most westerners since they are not use to it. Otherwise, this is a recipe done in perfection. I'm proud of you!

      Yes we add the patis to our bowls individually. The kiddo is not a fan of the flavor...yet. It is a wonderful "umami" flavor. We go through it FAST in our household. Thanks for the compliments.

    Do you know about using cloves or bay leaves? I’ve seen it in other recipes and wonder if I need it or if it even makes a difference?

    The corn goes in at the end or the beginning? It’s on both in the instructions

    • @DadGotThis
      @DadGotThis  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The corn goes in on the second cook. Sorry for that!

    Do you clean the meat first?

    • @DadGotThis

      I do not. It came out very clear without doing so.

      I would boil the shank first just to make it cleaner.

    How do you remove the fat from the soup?

    • @DadGotThis
      @DadGotThis  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not have much at all in mine. I like it as long as it is hot.
      If you don’t want it you can skim the top after the initial cook. I have a little mesh soup ladle strainer thingy.

    • @kumachn
      @kumachn 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I keep the fat in mine if I use crock pot or Instapot. I some people cook the Shanks first with all the ingredients except the vegetables, then skim the oil at the top.

      Jessica Bermejo the Beef should be very tender. So tender that you could shred it if you wanted to.
