Thank you for this! I’m a Filipino who don’t know how to cook. I try lol and I just got an instant pot so I’m very excited to make my favorite Filipino foods. New subscriber here 🙏🏼
This is an awesome recipe. Filipinos put patis as well (fish sauce) but a turn off for most westerners since they are not use to it. Otherwise, this is a recipe done in perfection. I'm proud of you!
Yes we add the patis to our bowls individually. The kiddo is not a fan of the flavor...yet. It is a wonderful "umami" flavor. We go through it FAST in our household. Thanks for the compliments.
I did not have much at all in mine. I like it as long as it is hot. If you don’t want it you can skim the top after the initial cook. I have a little mesh soup ladle strainer thingy.
I keep the fat in mine if I use crock pot or Instapot. I some people cook the Shanks first with all the ingredients except the vegetables, then skim the oil at the top.

Hello! When you press Manual, how much pressure do you input?
My cooker only has 1 pressure, high.
@@DadGotThis Thank you!
The bulalo in the Philippines they slow simmer it for 8 hours
This looks so good! I can’t wait to try it!
Cooking With Bo it’s so good. The marrow makes the broth so rich.
In my opinion meat should be cleaned first before cookinh

Do you know about using cloves or bay leaves? I’ve seen it in other recipes and wonder if I need it or if it even makes a difference?
No need for bay leaves

Okay, thank you!! 🙏👍
Thanks for letting us know. My mother in law said the same thing.
The corn goes in at the end or the beginning? It’s on both in the instructions
The corn goes in on the second cook. Sorry for that!
Just recently bought insta pot i’m a young adult on dudeeee thank you I found you 👏🏼😁🎉
The instant pot is a life saver for quick and cheap eats!
Tip: don't add spinach 🤢 stick to cabbage and maybe lettuce .. 2nd time making this experiments didn't go to well but still a great recipe! Thanks !
Yes you can play with it for sure.
Do you clean the meat first?
I do not. It came out very clear without doing so.
I would boil the shank first just to make it cleaner.
you dont neet to brush. cut the corn wash it everything will come off 1 of my favorite, bulalo. i put poitatoes on mine.
I have heard a lot of people put potatoes in it. I need to try that.
No patis???
You can put some in yours if you like
How do you remove the fat from the soup?
I did not have much at all in mine. I like it as long as it is hot.

Yeah I tried this exact recipe, my beef turned out like pulled pork. 😞
Hmmm, not sure how that happened. Which model IP do you have?
Jessica Bermejo the Beef should be very tender. So tender that you could shred it if you wanted to.
Probably my fault I should've kept an eye on it 😅 maybe 30 minutes was more than enough for the beef
So, no need for beef broth.
Yup no need.
CORN HAS SILK NOT HAIRS, GOOD TIP THOUGH...
Well yes, I just always called them that as a kid and it stick lol.
@@DadGotThis sorry didn't mean to be pedantic.
@@justice929 no problem :)
