New Balance starting 2023 on FIRE. Mines finally came in. The quality and materials are so damn good. I agree they do fit a LITTLE more roomy than usual but no need to be broken in.

im actually super hyped for this shoe specifically from NB’s LNY pack because i didn’t hit on the rain clouds. the 2002r’s are (IMO) the best looking model from the protection pack sneakers and im glad to see more colorways coming out of the model. mine came in today, excited to unbox and try them on. great review as always brother

In hand its more of a lighter color than what its being displayed when watching your video. I'm holding my pair and its not purple but more of a light silverish lavender. Very good quality on them too. Can't believe after queuing at 2010 on the release day, that I was able to cop them in my size and one for the wife. Very great spring time shoes

Thanks for the review man! From personal experience having tried these on, I can vouch that half a size down was a good move, even tho it’s a slight bit more snug than the same size in 990s and 993s
Glad the hype wasn't built up for these as they were surprisingly easy to grab. Plus they feel and look amazing in hand. I own roughly 10 pairs of the 2002R, and I always go 1/2 size down as I feel they run slightly big. A great way for NB to start the year and I'm looking forward to season two of the Teddy Sandis collaboration. Thanks for the video bro!

Thanks for another great video. I was lucky to get my hands on both pairs of these shoes. I think, one other noticeable difference between the Rain cloud, and the lunar new year is the 3M hit on the N on the sides of the Lunar new year. They are both 🔥🔥
Was so happy to snag this Lunar New Year edition as my first protection pack shoe. Def a bigger fan of the shoe design now.

I think the different insole might be why these feel a little roomier, which I'm not the biggest fan of under foot after wearing them all day
I just got these for retail. Glad I waited. Like these better than the “new” versions that just came out. The grey. And black grey. I’m hoping they fit just like the 1906d. Went half down and they fit like my true size. I’ll be back to comment about it. Have a narrow foot

I love them Josh I copped them in Nab Dec. 31 while at the dentist with my daughter I had to have them the quality is excellent they feel great on foot.

If you have a New balance 2002r go get yourself a PUMA RSX insole or the ones from the 990v5 and you will have yourself one of the most comfortable shoes ever
How do you personally clean shoes like those 2002R you said needed cleaning? Love to see that, as the majority of youtube videos are brands selling their products and i cannot trust them.

So pissed I order 2 cause I wasn’t sure the size I should get and they sat on NB website in the us for a while. First box came and not only
We’re they the wrong size 6 1/2 and I’m a 10.5 or 11. They sent the 550 Chinese new years 🤬. Does this happen to anyone else in the us that orders from the new balance website??? Hoping it was just a one off and the other shoes I ordered come without issue.

Am I tripping for thinking the colourway isn’t all that close to the rain clouds? Especially having them in person the purples are quite pronounced and is a darker shoe overall, with the light grey on the rain clouds brightening them up

New balance are reminding me of yeezy. They seem to keep releasing tones of the same models with some questionable colour ways, it’s got to the point where I’ve just lost interest in their sneakers. While I like that everybody gets a chance to cop something I ain’t looking to wear what everyone else is wearing….even my mums got a pair of 550s 😂

I agree with you to a point. NB also introduced new silhouettes (1906, 9060). So a ton of colorways in many different models
