@@guadalupebon2919 wrong, the point is that he is a real professional on his instruments: vocals/drums. not many people can achieve famous professional level, but for those who do, rarely do they accomplish it on two different instruments. see "euthanasia waltz", a masterclass drumming performance, and as for his singing this video was sufficient
Some of the reviewers that reviewed this entire album, WHICH WAS AWESOME btw, said none of these remakes had the feeling that EJ had when he was singing these songs originally. I think those people need to listen to this song again. I think PC might actually sings this song better than Elton. He sings it with the feel of "I wish it would rain", the background of "Sussudio" and the strength of "In the Air tonight". Love it!!
I didn't know the EJ song when I picked up this CD in 1991. Phil knocks it out of the park. When I later found the EJ version I still liked Phil's better.
I bought Two Rooms 30 years ago and it still amazes me how great Phil Collins covered this song.
He certainly did justice to Sir Elton's masterpiece.
Phil Collins is full of soul.
Phil knows how to sing songs and make them sound great his voice like his drums are super musical
Apples and oranges

The horns and drums here totally rock me to life!

You described it perfectly
So good. Top notch drumming. And a great song. I've listened to this more times than I care to mention!!
Phil’s also on piano for this song.
He's really bringing out the beauty of those lush, sophisticated chord changes
I have this CD album back then, TWO ROOMS. Glad TH-cam still keeping it.
Once he starts the drums it becomes a Phil song instantly.
This is phenomenal!
Philnomenal
Every song Phil sings is worth a listen! Props to Elton but Phil crushes this one!
Listen to the bass. Lee Sklar is amazing

This is rockin, I love PC

Ah Phil... ❤❤
This is so tight!
One of the best of that album, along with the George Michael and Jon Bon Jovi songs.
Bruce Hornby with Madman is the untouchable highlight of the album, although this is my second favorite.
Don't forget Eric Clapton Border Song. Real blues version from a real blues man.
And then there was Phil.
OK to be fair, PC and Genesis or Brand X.
If you play the two side by side, this is an almost exact replica of the original.
Legend!
Love this Album!❤❤🚀🚀
So glad I came upon this again. So good
Lo ve it!!!
Note to Elton: THAT'S how you sing high notes!
thats how you sing the song period !
Elton’s song…..
Nice version by Phil but it's a bit too slick. Like the original better it's more RUSTIC.
Well done, not quite EJ, too poppy, but nice
Good cover but just not up to some of the other artists that contributed on this legendary album
I think is the best song of the album. Clapton close second.
youre right Phil Collins is superior !
Are you on drugS??? This is an amazing version!
